The Western Digital 1TB Desktop Performance Caviar Black HDD Retail Kit (WD1003FZEX) is a quality internal computer hard drive. The B&H store sells this drive at a very reasonable price, and provides fast shipping. I've used it on a refurbished desktop computer and expect to get over five years of service. I plan on purchasing more of these dives to provide a second data drive and a portable external hard drive this I can depend on. There are no negatives about this drive. 5 |

With an adapter it just slid right into the open hard drive slot in my MSI Desktop computer. Activated it in Windows 10. Very easy installation and the drive works perfectly, you may need an installation kit. 5 |

I had a 6-year-old desktop with a regular (legacy) hard disk drive. The desktop was painfully slow when doing anything. After installing the SSD, the desktop instantly sprang to life. It's like a brand-new computer. If anyone has a slow computer, and it has a legacy hard disk, pop an SSD in and you will be amazed by the performance difference. 5 |

I have 12 portable hard drives. No desktop that I have owned or seen has enoughUSB inputs to handle 12 portable hard drives plus the USB ports that are required for the keyboard, mouse and printer. This hub is the solution to the problem. I really like that there is an on-off switch for each station. When I am about to boot up my desktop computer I turn off all the ports that I will not be using for the session. This prevents accidentally disconnecting a hard drive while the computer is on which can corrupt data in the drive. This hub has a power supply that is very substantial. I really don't know what its function is but I guess its necessary to have enough gain from the hard drive. The only downside of having 10 hard drives hooked up to this hub is where to find the space to store the hard drives. Also many of the hard drives I have come with a cable that is only 12 inches long and that limits where you can place the drive. I intend to purchase some that are 24 inches or more to replace those cables. 5 |
