We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly. 5 |

I just purchased a 2018 Macbook Pro and wanted an external hard drive for its Time Machine software. Came formatted for the Mac and worked without any drama or issues. The drive is boxes with a rather short USB type-C cable and a USB type-A dongle. C-cable fits tightly for a good connection. Ive used the dongle for some older Window devices without issue. I was using an older SanDisk Compact Flash reader and after buying a 2018 MacBook Pro w/ USB-C I thought I might see a an improvement in speed of transferring files from my Canon 5D MkIII media...Oh My Goodness this thing is lightning fast. I bought this Flash Drive as a traveling backup for my photos. Typically, I take between 100Gb and 200Gb of photos on a trip so this gives me plenty of space. The small size is ideal as is the light weight. I connected it to my MacbookPro USB-C using a Uni 4 port USB-A to USB-C hub with no problems.I ran a quick test when I received the drive and it took 2 minutes to transfer just over 15Gb (212 files) from my MacbookPro to the drive. So it's pretty fast. It took just two days to get here (Arizona) from B&H and was cheaper than buying from Amazon. So I'm a happy camper. 5 |
