Downloaded a windows 10 on & installed from one of the 6 flash drives purchased it went pretty fast & without any issues

I use windows 8.1 quite often. On this mac, all drives (except the internal flash drive) are external. Windows runs great off Thunderbolt connected drives. You can have multiple window drives and select the one you want on boot by holding down the option key.

I have bought a couple of the drives and they all perform fine. I have installed Windows 10 without issue...

I'm getting good use out of these since Windows 10 seems to have a knack for destroying my disk drives. It hasn't destroyed one of these -- yet!

If you have USB 2 drives on your older computer then stay with PNY 64 GB Flash Drives. They work and are FAT 32 formated. No Problems with these Flash Drives. I tried 128 GB Flash Drives that were suppose to work on USB 2 thru USB 3. My first file copied to them and the memory crashed and burned. I ordered the PNY 64 GB USB 2 and they are excellent. Smaller GB but always work.

I have several of these SSDs. They work fine as system drives in multiple Windows 10 computers, and storage drives internally and in external drives. I don't know that more expensive models could improve on it. The good pricing on them makes them unbeatable for me!

A hub like this, with an external power supply, is the solution to iffy external drive connections. Without the external power supply, other types of USB hubs do not provide enough power to keep external drives up and running--drives connected other, buss-powered hubs often turn off, and become unavailable in Windows. No such issue with this one. This is also impressively well made. The sleek metal enclosure, power switch and USB ports all inspire confidence that this will have a long life. I have the 7-port version of this, and it has worked flawlessly for almost 2 years of constant service. This hub installed on my Windows 10 PC instantly, and every drive I connect to it gets enough power to work well and stay connected and remain visible on my PC.

Windows Storage Pool with a great Hub for USB 3.1 or 2 gets you an unbelievable resilient and 1 drive replacement ability pseudo-raid array. You can move it to any other computer (At least Windows 10 where you create it.) I use it as a master backup and sync folders into it from other 4 to 12TB WD's on Laptops etc. or a whole drive using synctoy etc. A good USB fan helps. A ta slow at starting when you open the drive but is good at Raid 5 like activity. It might still just show its 12TB but I know its probably much bigger 12TB x 4 drives and a smooth changeout on a drive fail. We cant all have a 19 rack or server drives for storage. I use a separate 10Amp 120V rack mountable circuit breaker box of Receptacles to connect its power directly to a UPS. One clean power path for power company blips that damage things. Its the gold mine. Each drive by itself lasts as long as a small drive. (That's what is inside) and can act as a drive tray if it ever poops out end-of-life.

These USB flash drives are very convenient for keeping my files backed up and available wherever I go.
