I updated from a 2014 iMac to a 2019 with 128GB of ram, but my trusty keyboard that has stuck with me through two computers wouldn’t work.. After a lot of research online I opted for the FCPX LogicKeyboard. I upgraded from the one I purchased in 2019, and this works well with the newer apps. e.g., DaVinci Resolve. I'm learning DR on the desktop and the iPad helps tremendously with the convenience in learning the basics away from the desktop.
