I own a Canon xl2 and gl2 and just picked up one a canon hf s10 and want to say that the video quality is amazing for such a small camera and should be considered a prosumer camera. I am still getting used to its weight, it almost feels like nothing in my hands being used to heavier cameras. This is not for live video feeds without purchasing expensive hardware as the cpu recognizes it only as a memory device. Aftermarket batteries and lenses are fairly inexpensive compared to oem products. If recording in 24p make sure your software will import correctly. The internal stabilization feature kinda makes the software stabilization look weird. So use only one, either software or built in camera. Do your homework on this product if using for pro work

The image stabilization is phenomenal. The video quality looks so professional, it feels like I am recording my own TV show. The color is also really natural. I highly recommend!

Bought this lens to be used on the Sony a6500 and so far I love it. The autofocus and image stabilization on this lens is amazing for video. Only thing I recommend is getting a quality UV filter to keep on the lens, the actual shape on the glass makes it hard to keep dust off.

Great image stabilization - this was my biggest surprise. Other features that caught my attention: shoot fast action with ease, easy-to-use Wi-Fi connectivity, amazing light capture and 4K video and photo functions - isolates video frames at 30 frames per second as high resolution photos. It gave me excellent results and it's friendly to use. It definitely exceed my expectations because it is an excellent walkabout camera and lightweight.

I love it. I use it for video. I have just kept it in auto since I got it. I love autofocus and image stabilization. And the image quality is amazing. Works perfectly with the Rode GO Wireless lav mics. I work alone so I don't want to fiddle with camera settings, I want to focus on my subject. This is exactly what I needed.

Debated quite a bit between this one and the 2.8 but ultimately picked this one for the image stabilization for when I want to use it for video. Being a bit smaller and lighter for travel was an added bonus too and the macro capabilities were just icing on the cake! Its the perfect lens for travel and will serve me well. It complement my 70-200f2.8L IS III perfectly and Im extremely impressed with how sharp it is. Highly recommended!  The buying process was simple, the price was right and the shipping was fast.
