I bought this to use with a Panasonic HC-X1000 video recorder to shoot sports video on the field. I paired it with the Oben PD 117 3-way pan/tilt head and it did a marvelous job. It's lightweight, straps easily to the side of my video camera bag, and stays in place once you lock down the leg sections. I have no complaints, and look forward to using this for many, many years.

I shoot sports documentary - lots of run-and-gun footage of coaches and players. With typical transmitter/receiver mics, I would get an occasional disconnect between the two because of interference or distance. With this mic/recorder, of which I own two, I just put it on a participant, usually a coach, turn it on, and let it go. Three hours later, I remove the recorder, pop the mini SD into my computer and download the footage. Sure, I have to sync up the audio/video, but that doesnt take long, and the audio is always uninterrupted and clear. Plus, the recorder is very difficult to shut off accidentally due to the special locking system on the tiny off/on/record switch. Also, the menu is simple and easy to figure out.  I would recommend this little recorder to anyone who needs to shoot active people from a distance.

Picture quality is stunning. Sports are especially brilliant. Best TV I have ever owned.
