I have joined the many long-time DSLR users who have decided to lighten their camera bags. For a long time I have been shooting with heavy pro DSLRs and glass lenses. My results have been very rewarding and satisfying, but the weight of my backpack has gotten to me. My son has a Fuji X-T1 and the Fuji 35mm f/1.4 lens which he uses as a back-up camera. I decided to take it for a spin a couple of weeks ago. Well, it was a game changer. I shot some flowers with the 35mm lens, and several shots took my breath away. So very crisp. So I decided to order the Fuji 60mm Macro to do some serious macro work. When it arrived I popped it on the X-T1, and proceded to take near duplicate shots of Stella d'Oro daylilies with the Fuji and my DSLR and f/2.8 macro lens. I loaded the images into Lightroom, and was not at all prepared for what I saw: the Fuji 60mm images positively blew me away with their clarity and gorgeous color, complimented by very nice bokeh at 5.6. The daylily I photographed is difficult because it is so monochromatic, and previous efforts with the DSLR have disappointed me. The Fuji 60mm Macro lens made this flower positively glow, with marked transparency and detail that I had never been able to capture. I did subsequent shots of roses using just the Fuji and the macro lens. One of the shots was exquisite, and right then I KNEW I had found a new way to enjoy my passion for photography. I have joined the many photographers who now have the Fuji mirrorless system in their camera bags. I have purchased the X-T2, and with the 60mm Macro lens (and others) in my bag I look forward to much fun without the DSLR heft. 5 |

I purchased this waterproof case to take my Nikon D90 up Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica. It kept my camera dry and I got some decent shots. Since the camera was not completely submerged in water, I got water droplets on the lens. Some photos didn't turn out because of that. Also, you have to be sure to hold the lens cover tight to your camera or you will get the case in your shots. Overall very worth it, especially for the price! 5 |
