Best camera I have ever had. I love it. I’m a professional wedding photographer and videographer and it is perfect for me.

I was using the Canon 5D Mark IV bodies for a few years and absolutely loved them and had no intentions of switching over to mirrorless. I'm a full time wedding photographer and I specialize in all natural lighting. One day I photographed a wedding on my Mark IV, and my second photographer used a brand new mirrorless camera and played up her ISO even as high as 64,000 at the reception. I edited her photos next to mine and was absolutely blown away. I ordered this camera the next day to try out, fully thinking I may send back if I didn't like it. I LOVED IT. The ability to use an ISO so high at a wedding reception at night is SO useful to me that that alone was worth the switch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best camera bag on the go. Can carry a mirrorless camera and still pack some space for other items such as a Water Bottle and a laptop or tablet.

The Best Mirrorless camera of 2018. I bought it via B&H Photo Video along with adapter and 24-70 f4 lens and its the sharpest lens and has vibrant colors and auto focus/tracking is the best in both Photo/Video. One of the best continuous auto focus camera which Nikon has produced for Video and it tracks the subject very well. If u are the Nikon shooter then u should grab it immediately. Its low light capability is another powerful feature and its in par with Sony alpha series. Battery performance is great but not the best - I was able to get around 700 raw files with one battery and thats almost double than what they mentioned in the advertisement ie. around 350 plus pics. Anyway I got 2 extra batteries for this camera so that i can shoot more photo/video diring events. ——- Downside —— Single XQD memory card slot but thats ok as i can take a risk on it. Never seen failure in my SD cards since i started photography in 2013 so I can take that risk.

Best addition to the camera. For the price it is an asset to any photography who wants quality close ups with a mirrorless camera.

I'm a full time wedding photographer and I recently switched over to the mirrorless line. This was my first mirrorless lens purchase and I always held off on buying one because I thought it was a very high price for something I'd only be using for macro photos of wedding rings, but once I got it, I started using it in place of my 70-200, too. And I like it BETTER. No, it doesn't get as close up, but if you're able to get away with the 100mm distance and move yourself closer physically, it's incredible!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a boudoir and wedding photographer with somewhat a minimalistic set up (2 mirrorless cameras, 3 lenses, 1 flash) and i was looking for a new backpack since my previous one was falling apart and I’m also flying out of state for a wedding this fall and wanted something solid to use as personal item. I love the extra waist straps (I’m 5’2” and around 125 lbs) cuz walking around a main airport can destroy my back. Totally recommend and the material seems super durable!

I've owned the Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L version 1 & 2, and when I went to Sony back in 2014, I purchased the Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 for A-mount and was amazed at the lightweight and image quality the lens produced and was hooked. Fast forward to the end of 2020 and I finally made the jump to mirrorless and needed a new telephoto zoom. Why did I buy this one over the Sony 70-200 GM? - I'm a wedding photographer, and I'm OVER the weight and bulkiness of 70-200 lenses. This particular one is LIGHT (lighter than some standard zoom DSLR & mirrorless lenses) and physically smaller. I can hardly notice and feel the load of this thing paired with the a7iii at all! Over an 8-12 hour wedding day, this is a game changer. - It's sharp wide open, it focuses fast & silent, and when using the Eye Auto Focus feature on the a7iii, it captures subjects moving towards me perfectly (i.e. think brides & grooms walking down the aisle). - I can use it as a macro lens - if you lock it in at 70mm (there's a lock switch on the barrel) and put your camera in manual focus mode and use manual focus assist and peaking, you can get as close as 10.5 inches to the subject with a 1:2 reproduction ratio using this as a macro lens. No need for a separate macro lens anymore for those rings shots (wedding photographers I'm talking to you); one less lens to carry with you! Do I miss the 20mm on the telephoto end? Not really, I hardly even notice it. But what about image stabilization on the lens itself? Don't need it, that's what IBIS is for. It's a job well done by Tamron. And with its price point, it's a no-brainer.
