Best Windows Laptop For Photoshop

Best laptop I ever have.

I love my laptop, its fast and works great. My desktop is Windows 7 pro and this comes with windows 8.1 home. I just need to upgrade it to pro and I'm good to go.

Primarily used for Photoshop and Lightroom duties. I've been a die-hard Microsoft/Windows user since the DOS days. Still have my original IBM PC. When Windows 8 came out it was so pathetic that it pushed me to replace my laptop in 2012 with a Retina Macbook Pro. Now, I have finally gone 100% Mac by replacing my Windows desktop with the new Mac Pro. Being an engineer, I can certainly appreciate the industrial design and tight integration between the Mac hardware and OS X software. The new Mac Pro exemplifies all of that. Although I was a web developer for the past 11 years, I rarely do anything in that area anymore except maintain my Wordpress blog. The Mac Pro is overkill for that anyway. For my photographic needs I see the Mac Pro as being a solid platform that should serve me well for many many years. It's a rock solid and stable system that can chug away 24/7/365 without missing a beat.

DC Technical Support is useless. The issues with using this are embedded in Windows 10 control panel and the new Color Management. Not only do you have to change the config in the printer driver and your Image software i.e., Photoshop, you also have to go into the Windows 10 Color Management and disable Windows color management for the given device before you even start. Without doing this, the spectrophotometer gives periodic errors. You have to then import your generated profiles into this cache, which doesn't recognize the profiles in the directory until you import them. To get it to work properly, you have to assign in Photoshop, but you also have to tell the OS about the profile or it will still fail.

I use it primarily for Photoshop CS5. I got tired of the instability of Windows, including Win7. Things Great: Stability, ease of adding internal hardware. I added RAM (48GB) and a pair of 2TB hard drives for data only, and it was QUICK & EASY! Things Not So Great: Haven't found any yet.

I'm a producer that occasionally dabs in editing, photoshop, indesign and more. I need to have lots of windows open. This monitor does not disappoint! The colors are amazing. Connects easily to my Mac Book Pro 2016. I can't wait for my Mac Mini to arrive so I can connect to this. I've been a loyal LG user for years.  I am so happy I bought this.

Worked great with my Windows 10 laptop. I did not need to use the Driver DVD.

It's great laptop ready to use but more power with probably a Windows Pro edition.

I bought this to keep my MacBook accessories organized. I will be buying another one for my Windows laptop.
