Best Wired Headphones For Listening To Spoken Word

Sound quality is much better than I would have guessed for this type of headphones. I mostly listen to spoken word. The stay put by themselves or under a hat. They fit fine over my glasses too.The back loop does stick out a bit so you probably won’t be wearing them if you are leaning against a headrest.Note: it took me a few days to realize the left temple has a pause/play button, that was my only complaint (until I realized it was user error)

I bought these headphones because they had a student discount and were well rated. I mostly use them for listening to spoken voice audio/narration. The ear pieces are comfortable.

Optimized for the spoken word, not music. Loud for it's size.

Have been using a Zoom for several years..spoken word and music field recording. Always a super machine. Zoom 1 was stolen from my truck at a gig. Number 2 is performing to expectations!

For making connections beyond the spoken word existentially, this is a great camera for the reality photgrapher.

Like others, I was skeptical, but I read the reviews from church and school A/V leaders who said this picks up the spoken word just as well as any other microphone, and they were correct. I help with the A/V department at my church, and we ordered a couple of these, and they work just fine. I dont know how long it will last, but at the price, it can be easily replaced many times over vs. the cost of an expensive headworn mic.

Used as a HEARING AID for me while watching TV the spoken word comes through extremely sharp and clear.

As one ages, the hearings starts to go and it becomes difficult to understand the spoken word on television with the original equipment speakers. You try to overcome the problem by raising the volume, but it doesn't help that much. The bar enhances the voice frequencies where you can actually listen at a lower volume. I can actually understand what is being said in a different room.

I've been using it for spoken word applications like VO and podcasts. In retrospect I probably should have gone with the SM58 for what I'm using it for, but I'm not complaining. Just needs a good pop screen to combat plosives.

I run two computers connected to a Yamaha MG12 for VO and broadcast work as well as spoken-word production. Thus, I need two interfaces. I don't need all the midi and various in- and out-put controls, just the converters. You can't beat this for the money. Just plug it in and you're up an running.
