Best Wireless Router For Garage

I have used all kinds of router modem combos, even bought them separately so I would have to replace them as often, but nothing compares to the ease of use and productivity that this Orbi system gives you ! I have the Orbi doc 3.1 mesh system with built in cable modem and one satellite. I have a two story house with a detached garage that’s 75 feet away and this thing gives me a perfect WiFi single in my garage and all over my house and even half my yard! I would highly recommend this to anyone on the market for a WiFi modem router combo. Hands down best on the market. The app is quick and way and tells me when new devices join my network, easily shows download speeds and incoming internet speeds. Come on, buy it you won’t regret it I promise !

Our house was not wired with Ethernet cables and I could not get a wifi signal (I purchased a much needed upgraded router and tried a top of the line extender without any luck) into our garage for a sprinkler control panel. I finally came across reviews for the Netgear Powerline 2000+ and figured I would try them out. I plugged the adapter into our power outlet next to the router and plugged the other one on the other side of the house. I pay for 100 mb and average about 98.3 to 98.5 next to the router. Testing the Netgear Powerline 2000+ I get around 97 to 97.3 from it. Since the speed was so good, I put the adapter in a bedroom next to our garage and turned my old router into an AP and now have 70% signal strength in the garage and backyard. Great product for the price, as I saved $60 over the "high end" extender

Like my 2 Synology NAS servers, the RT6600 so far has been dream to set up. I bought 2x RT6600 and have one set up as an access point to expand coverage to our detached garage apartment (I dropped a CAT7 ethernet as the backplane to connect them together). I have configured three wifi connections, one for IoT devices, one for the kids with filtering and time limits, and a dedicated connection for my wife and me for work computers. Wifi connection to the router in both our house and detached garage has been 100% stable. The only negative I would give it is that it is quite a bit larger physically than my eero mesh router system that it replaced. Not a big deal because they sit in closets with other network equipment (10GB switch, cable modem, NAS servers, voip phone).

This router is just what I needed. It gives me great reception out to the garage and back porch for my Blink cameras. It also increased my speed from 145 download to 355. Easy setup with the phone app. I would HIGHLY recommend it even if your not tech savvy.

This router is what I waited for when I wired my entire home with CAT6A cable in every room including the garage. The garage was one area that my previous AX-11000 struggled to get reception to. I was initially going to buy just one but thought having a wired mesh would be ideal and oh boy I was right. Now I get almost full bars even OUTSIDE of my garage/home in a 2 story townhome with concrete walls! One thing to note here is that the stock firmware would not connect the AI mesh node at 10 GBPS but only 10/100 when using the 10 GIG ports. Would work fine on the 2.5GBPS. This was fixed with the latest firmware. I am using this router with multiple TP link 10 gig 8 port and 5 port switches around my home and it is an absolute beast. WIfi 6E with my samsung S21 + S22 ultra work actually really great. The reception thru walls is not bad actually. The magic is the 5Ghz-2 band that seems to perform the best using DFS + 160 mhz channel. I am using WPA3-Personal on all bands with stock wifi settings and manually selecting ideal channels. The router also boots up and scans DFS channels much faster than my AX11000 did. I am glad I did not buy the AXE11000 as I read rumors months ago of this beast possibly coming out middle of the year. I can't wait to see how the firmware matures and see this router get even better with improvements asus will make. There was a month delay but honestly the wait was so worth it. I can't wait until Merlin releases the firmware for this beast!!

I live in a building across a large driveway parking lot from my garage/shop and this is the first mesh router that has given me consistently high speeds in both buildings. it was a breeze to setup and has been happily humming away ever since I turned it on. I love that I can see and control what is connected to the network and keep track of my data rates and how much I send and receive each month.

I am extremely satisfied with the AMPLIFI - HD router and mesh points. It has allowed me to cover my 2100 sq. foot home completely and extends well into the yard and garage. While opting for the 5Ghz signal for the router and 1 mesh point, I placed the second mesh point (around 200 feet away from the other) in the garage and set that one to 2.4 Ghz. WOW! Amazing wifi coverage. Easy to set up and the app is very simple to navigate and provides device usage and connectivity. Love it!

I bought 1 for each of my 4 bedrooms expecting to cover the basement, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors of my 23' wide rowhome with a hope to get signal in the garage. When setting them up, the first AP that i plugged into the router in the back of the basment gave great signal to the bedroom on the 3rd floor at the front of the house. I was thinking that i may need another AP or even an outdoor AP to get good coverage in my yard and detatched garage, but i am getting excellent signal stregth all over from the 4 AP's. These fit perfectly in place of my ethernet wallplates, you can turn off the annoying LED light for a bedroom placement, and the 3 extra ports are a great way for my to keep some devices still hard wired. In each of the rooms. I used an omada hardware controller, vpn router, and poe switch with these and the devices all work great together. This all might be twice as much as a 3 AP consumer grade mesh wifi, but is considerably better than the eero system that i was using.
