THE Shure Beta 58A is the best microphone for live vocals...the only mic I will ever use.

I was looking for a microphone with a bit more low end and a bit more high end then the Beta 58A. The Beta 57 did it. Both are great microphones.

Shure 58A Beta doesn't need any recommendations. It's probably the best vocal microphone for live performance. BHP delivered this product fast and with no issues during these crazy before Christmas days.

The Beta 58A is well worth the higher price of it's excellent sibling, the SM58. I love the accurate reproduction, the very sensitive proximity effect, and the ability to handle very high sound pressure levels with little or no distortion. I definitely plan on adding more of these to my live mic collection in the near future as well as some Beta 57's!

Sure, it's no secret that the Behringer BA 85A is a Beta 58A clone. It looks the same. It feels the same. OH BY THE WAY, it sounds the same (I recorded processed and unprocessed side-by-side sound checks). With all that in mind, and since the BA 85A costs WAY less (more than 600% less) than the Beta 58A... Why would you NOT buy it? Even if you're not looking for a Beta 58A clone, how's about a super solid super cardioid dynamic microphone for around $25? Seriously, if that's not enough to sway you, you're an unrepentant mic snob and you deserve to pay too much. As for me, I'll be rolling with this mic and saving money.

Perfect size and functionality. I use it on my desk with Shure beta 58A mic and 3' 16AWG XLR cable. Its weight and rubber feet isolates any possibility of vibration traveling to the mic. Swivel boom allows various positioning of mic without having to move the base. I haven't tried it with heavier and bulkier Rode NT1 but a little counterweight will easily balance it out if it's ever needed. Supplied cable clips are a nice touch.

Beta 58A performs under all conditions. I have much more expensive miss ready at hand but if I don't want to take a risk and know that i need a resilient mic to come along with me I choose beta 58A under all conditions. I have performed from small to large venues with this mic and it never disappoints. Low to high frequency is clear and even if you drop it or spill any liquid over it it still works. Bang for a buck!

The bundle pricing was the best deal I have seen. The Shure 58A is a good microphone but I find the Beta58A is a better mic for female vocals. Excellent product.

If you have shire wireless standards like the sm58 or beta 58.... this is the next step up. Worked great on a loud stage... female vocalist can now hear their vocals through the mix... hassle free vocal improvement. .. SM87A is the standard for me
