I was looking into buying a new pair of headphones and I was checking out Beat's by Dre. If you know anything about Beat's by Dre you would know that they are very, very expensive. This put them far out of my budget. A friend who owned the Audio Technica ATH-M50s suggested I try out something by Audio Technica. I did some researcher and finally decided on the ATH-M30X over-ear headphones. Overall, they are amazing. The one other thing I would like to mention is the cord. It doesn't tangle, it feels durable, and it is very long. However, its length can sometimes feel like a little bit too much. I was looking at the ATH-M50s, and they had an option for a coiled cord. I wish that could have been an option for these, and if it was, I certainly would have been willing to pay a bit more for it. Finally, I was amazed by the price. I have 2 other ATH-M50s and they never disappoint. For the past 10 years they are my daily use headphones in various devices/audio equipment. I’ve gotten a few to give family members the opportunity to experience tru listening pleasure. 5 |

For a non-studio purpose, I needed decent yet not spendy headphones. All the ATH-M30's I've had have been perfect, and so I went with the M30x this time from B&H. Got an excellent deal on an open box pair and they showed up fast, everything was included, headphones work perfectly and are quite comfortable for 2-hr online music jams. 5 |
