Beyond Blue Game Controls

We switched over to this Manfrotto LANC remote for filming hunts and it is an absolute game changer! All the controls are right at your thumb allowing you to engage the camera in any way you like while keeping your movement to a minimum. If you are filming hunts or filming wildlife, this thing is a necessity.

I reviewed several controllers for the game; looking for ease of use and assigning buttons to flight controls. In addition, I didn't want to break the bank. What a surprise! Hotas 4 was automatically accepted by the Sim with almost all buttons assigned, ready to fly! With a tweak after visiting the Thrustmaster site for updates, I was up flying in a few minutes.

It just doesn't get any easier than this! Leveled up my audio game! Great clean audio, with controls right for my camera. Completely took the guesswork out of if I'm getting my audio on file with my video. Best feature, transmitters record right on the unit as a back up! Safety!

WD Blue 2TB (WD20EZBX) is a fast drive. 7200RPM, 256MB cache, you can easily get 200+ MBps read speeds. Fast enough to be a game drive (not as fast as an ssd but your only waiting 15 to 20 seconds at most for a game to load) It is a SMR drive however, so writing does suffer a bit there. Although if your focus on read applications (like gaming), this is a totally usable drive. As i told a family member this is a undercover WD Black HDD.

My box said the game code expired 6/1/2019. I reported this to B&H and they looked into it and the manufacturer said it's a misprint, so I tried the code and it worked. (I haven't tried the microphone yet but what do you want to know? It's a Blue Yeti. No shortage of information around for Blue mics in general and particularly the Yeti.)

When a new Blue Ray disc would not read on my old player I decided to get something that would read the newer formats and upscale my legacy Discs viewing on my UHD 4K TV. I also wanted a unit that would allow slow motion viewing of old game film from 1969 that had been digitized to DVD. The Sony unit provides me great upscaling of newer Blue Ray discs but the pleasant surprise was how well it did at enhancing the quality of the old poor quality 16 mm game film. The improved image clarity combined with the slow motion feature made it possible to actually enjoy watching these old football game films. Note: the instructions on how to activate slow motion in the manual are accurate, but still unclear until you fumble around a bit. After pressing the pause button (do not hold it down). You then simply hold the fast forward button down for about 1 second and release. It will then play in slow motion. You can then move from slow motion forward and slow motion reverse by using the fast forward and reverse buttons. It will continue in slow motion mode until you hit a key other than fast forward or reverse. Slight variations in how long you hold down the FF key may adjust how slow the playback works. Quick press and release advances frame by frame.

After using the stock “blue” filament, this is a game changer! I’m able to print parts for our company trucks and not need to paint them so they don’t stick out like a sore thumb! Great stuff!

This is an amazing addition to the panoramic background! Having the option between green and blue is a game changer on set. I recommend this for anyone that bought the 13' Panoramic Chroma Key Green Screen!
