Beyond Tv Digital Video Recording Software

Since this purchase was my first foray into digital recording, I spent time researching comparable products and the accompanying software packages. I decided on the Steinberg UR242 because of the reviews of their preamps, four separate inputs, and the price. B&H had the product in stock when other vendors did not, and they offered free next day shipping. I received the UR242 from B&H as promised. Installation of drivers and software went flawlessly, and the UR242 works as I expected. The only drawback is the learning curve to use the Cubase DAW software, but I believe that would be the same with almost any DAW.

I have now purchased 5 of these... easy to use and great video. If you are using video recording software such as Limelight XE, then you need to use the generic IP URL of rtsp://(your_ip_address)/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0 to get the main feed (the link is not well documented). A great IP camera for the monday.

I bought this because I get all my tv over the air. Recording a show necessitates using the dvd recorder, and it's getting old, and is not truly reliable. This tv tuner worked as soon as I plugged it into the usb port on my computer. I hooked up to the coaxial cable from my attic antenna, and I get a better picture than I do on my regular tv. It picked up all the channels and using it with Microsoft Media Center is easy as pie. I like Microsoft Media Center better than the software that came with the device, but that software works OK as well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to cut the cable and still have a personal video recorder.

Use the S-Video to HDMI Converter to connect an old analog video system to a new Digital TV. Without this device the entire system would have to be replaced. That was infeasible.

Recording off TV.

Elgato Video Capture Device and its software makes transferring VHS Home movies so easy. Once you have downloaded the software and attached the Capture Device its only a couple of clicks and your making digital recordings on your Computer. Its really simple and I highly recommend this product if you looking for a good product to make home VCR movies to a digital format.

I plan on using the DVI extender with Qtake video recording and effects software, to output recorded HD video to on set monitors

I mix video and sound from two different sources into the Dazzle recording software. It really does a great job. I am very satisfied.

I received this digital monoculture sample for free. I was able to use it on several occasions. The pictures and video recording is incredibly good. The size fits perfectly in my palm and in my pocket. Recommend for bird watchers and for that quick zoom shot.

Just got done recording many LP's to digital and works very well.
