B&H Photo Camera

Purchased Panasonic Lumix GH2 from B%H. Sound was the question with clarity. I owned Sennheiser ENG Wireless Mics. But the miniplug to the camera was the problem. So a friend(sound engineer from Germany who is working with us advised me to look for a SC25 3.5mm to 2.5mm Stereo Output Cable rather than trying to buy a expensive separate microphone for the camera. So I bought and works fine. So I am happy in the end. Thanks to my friend and B&H for helping to have the accessory part. 5 |

I'm using this flash drive as the storage for a ClonerAlliance UHD Pro Standalone 4K H.265/H.264 HDMI Video & Gaming Recorder. The setup is working flawlessly so far. 5 |

I love to shoot B%W and this is the film I carry the most. It is useful for many situations and effects. 5 |

I think I was one of the first ones to order the GH6 from B&H (right at 5pm when it became available). I love this camera. I have 2 GH5S's and I wish I had 2 more GH6's instead. V-log L in the Gh5S was too noisy so I use HLG and get a beautiful, low noise image. But the GH6 in V-Log or HLG are a step above when exposed correctly. Very clean. I have shot in prores @ 5.7K and in H.265 @ 5.7K. The H.265 is a little hard on my desk top editing computer (10 core, water cooled i9). But Prores plays like butter. The only thing is with Prores @ 1.9G per secound, my Angelbird 512G CF Express card only has 34minutes but in H.265 it is over 5 hours. The 1.3G per second Prores records for 54 minutes. Big difference! I recommend the Angelbird 512GB AV PRO CFexpress 2.0 Type B SE memory card for $180.00. It will record all the speed hungry codecs. Most people give this camera a hard time because of auto-focus. I don't care about auto-focus. I have 3 Meike primes, 16mm, 25mm and 35mm and a DZO 20-70mm zoom. Also a Olympus Pro 12-100mm lens. It is my walk around photo lens although I some times use it for video too. The more I use the GH6 the more I love it. Maybe down the road I'll replace my GH5S's with Gh6's. I can always wish can't I. 5 |

I haven't had a chance to shoot more than some test clips, but everything about this camera is a major upgrade from the mark II. I only shoot video, so the new H.265 codec is fantastic - and from what I can see there's little reason to buy either the new CF cards or even the SDXC v90, because with a v60 card you can shoot H.265 with all the quality at less data rate! even at 120fps, so this is a huge deal, economically. Super clean image, even in SLOG. And the viewfinder is a big improvemen - sharpness and especially the peaking functionality, which is now of professional quality by comparison to the older model. The new menu system is also way way better and with SIX full menu pages of My Menu custom settings, there's almost no need to ever deep dive into the menu rabbit hole for most functions. This will be a workhorse camera for me - no longer the technical stepchild to real digital cinema cameras. 5 |

Excellent camera, lens, and gimbal. Have only used h.264 codec even so the images are quite nice. Here is a link to some video of the bear mountain bridge i shot with no post color manipulation. https://youtu.be/_vV2VKpMios 5 |

I purchased this camera knowing that Adobe Premiere Pro would not import H.265, but I thought that Adobe would soon fix that problem. Sadly that is not the case as of this review in March of 2019. I have been using my Atomos recorder as a work around. 5 |

I do a lot of live performance and have been using the Canon XF 300s with good success, so for me the upgrade to the 705 was a no brainer. Ive only had the 705 for about a week now but I did a 90 minute test filming in camera to H.265/HEVC 4:2:2 10 bit and outputting via 12G SDI to a Shogun Inferno set to Pro Res HD. After the 90 minutes of filming, the Shogun Pro Res amounted to a 1.2 TB file in my Macs Premiere Pro. However, I was unable to import the H.265 from the camera file into Premiere Pro CC 2018. I assume that Adobe will soon provide a firmware update to allow H.265 files to work in Premiere Pro without having to convert them. In any event, Im very impressed with the camera and am looking forward to taking advantage of all the improvements they have made over the XF 300. 5 |

This quick release plate came exactly as described, it arrived very quickly, and it was the cheapest that I could find on the internet. Thanks to B%H, I'm making higher quality videos. 5 |

I ordered from someone else and guess what? Yep, wrong item and they were upset. I have never had a problem with B&H and all my photography and audio needs come only from B%H. Thank you 5 |
