Big Band Jazz Instruments All Playing Different Songs

I am an audiophile who enjoys spending evenings immersed in jazz, classical, big band, classic rock ... a wide range and wide variety from my recorded collection and subscriptions. I could not justify professional headphones, but these are PERFECT for those occasions when the rest of the household does not want to hear my music.

Recording vocals and acoustic instruments for TV and film production songs.

Recorded eight piece jazz band into my Tascam, no hums or glitches of any kind.

2/3 of a stop is a good value for my needs. the full stop was too much and 1/3 not enough at all.

Listening to the songs that I've heard dozens of times before I am still hearing notes and instruments that I never could detect before.

I have heard things I have never before with this… background kids in songs, laughter and instruments I didn’t know were there. A little too sensitive. When I’m wearing my hair down, sometimes it stops the music. Great buy anyway

Set up 4 zones around house and pool area. Music playing all around the house. Different music in different areas allows everyone to choose what they want to listen to. All music streamed from phone. Sound quality is excellent. Sonos helpline staff (Khun Pakpoom in Thailand) exceptionally helpful with set up queries.

Came home from shooting a jazz band in a dark club in Bangkok and found that my 50mm Summicron with built in hood no longer sported its Leica pinch cap which must have fallen off and rolled away unnoticed into the shadows. This cap is a perfect fit, just tight enought, and I'm sure it's not going to do a runner like its distiguished predecessor. I like it so much that I ordered two more from B&H for my 90mm Tele-Elmarit-M and my 135mm Tele-Elmar respectively, both of which have rather annoying detachable hood and lens cap combinations that make them rather fiddly to change and the stock lens cap doesn't fit without the hood. If you want to avoid the hassle of these hoods, the Kaiser 40mm push on cap is the ideal replacement.

I play drums in a Blues / Jazz jam band. I needed a simple stand for a Shure SM57 microphone to record the kick drum. Other short stands with a boom have to be contorted to line up with the resonant head's port hole (8 from floor to dead center). Coupled with a standard Shure mic clip, the Auray stand is perfect! The weight of the base is substantial and the price is right.

I wear this bad boy on my belt as go through my routine the sound is on the money when i'm playing my jazz. As I walk and folks can hear the music but they can't detect where the sound is coming from because my jacket rests over the speaker and it still sounds great. Thanks JBL..
