This is a work horse mic used by every sound engineer to record any type of instruments:brass, percussion, etc.

I use this mic to record string and wind (brass mostly) instruments.  The different patterns make it effective in a variety of spaces depending on whether you want to reject other sounds or include reflections.  Versatile and great sound quality.

Used this for vocals and it makes a really big difference in quality than just direct through an interface. Can't wait to try this on other instruments.

A great multi-purpose dynamic mic, I use this small-sized, big-sounding tool for instruments and vocals alike. It obviously excels on the snare drum and on guitar cabinets, but I like the sound I get from it on various percussion, brass and lower-toned woodwind instruments. It doesn't have the shrill high-end crispness of a condenser, but you don't always need that. Overall, it sounds clean and strong, and adeptly resists feedback.

It allows to follow the variable stars down to 11th magnitude without need of big effort to hold heavy instruments.

We are using the product for sensitive weather instruments. The fact that we can adjust the sizing according to the instruments is awesome. It's big, it's bulky but our equipment is safe and won't be damaged on the sled ride up a Colorado hill (mountain).

I have been a big fan of the native instruments keyboard since they came out, and this one is no exception. It is very simple to use, but the way that the new screen is displayed and the sound or organized and not only being able to mod the parameter so easily is a big plus. the screen is beautiful. The key bed is nice. I wish I could’ve got an upgrade from my MK two but beggars can’t be choosers. I would purchase again of put in the same situation.

I have been a big fan of Rode mics since I bought a Videomic Pro a couple of years ago. Also, I had borrowed a friend's pair of older NT1s and really liked the realistic, clean sound I got when using them. So, I took the plunge and ordered a pair of the new NT1s. I record mostly brass instruments, primarily trombone, but also brass quintet. So far, the sound of these mics is just beautiful. They have a nice, round, warm sound, without any of the harshness I have found with other mics. They also keep the sound extremely close to the way my ear hears it, so you don't get any funky change to the organic sound of the player/instrument that you have to deal with. So far, very impressed. I also like the included mounts. I would not have ordered the SM-2 shock mounts had I known how useful the supplied mounts would be... Great buy!

This bag is what I was looking for to travel. It offers protection for travel and is big enough to use instead of a purse when touring. Brass clips on shoulder strap are heavy duty. Camera and lens or additional attachments are protected by well made bag with buckled closure. Extra outside pockets for lens cap. You can't bring everything, but good to travel light.

This is the first PolarPro item I have purchased, and I was not disappointed. Craftsmanship is superior, jewel-like. Brass makes a big difference. You won't want to go back to aluminum. I really like the gnurled sides of the filter. You can adjust it without taking your eye from the viewfinder..
