Big Cats See Cardboard Box For First Time

First thing to surprise me was the packaging, an Irix branded cardboard box, containing a metal box in which the lens, some foam inserts and a lens case were enclosed. No handle on the lens case but nice nonetheless. Quality of the lens is great, first thing I checked was focus with it locked at infinity - no issues there, I thought I may have to adjust it after reading other reviews but this lens was spot on. Heading out camping to some remote lakes in a few weeks where I will really put this lens to the test, but first impressions are favourable.

Drive is ok. B&H you over packed the product. Big cardboard box. You could have put it in a small bubble envelope and dropped it in the US mail and I would have received it faster

First let me get it out of the way... This thing is big. You read 50x50 but you don't realize until you set it up. But because of its size it puts out the most wonderful light. Get this box in close to a subject and the light is soft and beautiful. More than worth the money. The only annoyance is when the box is mounted there is very little tilt possible. It's not a big issue since most of the time this huge box covers the subject but I did get a Baby Boomer - Mini Boom Arm / Offset Arm to help push the box forward on the stand, works perfectly. Highly recommend this box.

First time to try this size...big enough to impress...all the Ilford papers are great

This is just the cats meow. The other one is too big to use in your lap while chilling on the couch or in a cafe... this is a perfect size for having a comfortable drawing session. And of course comes with all the accoutrements of any other illustration pad. Perfect pen pressure, etc.

Nice case to replace your cardboard box! For the price it's great

We were able to get about 1,380 slides in ours - standard cardboard mounts. Good sturdy box.

First time using this film, shot at box speed and developed in XTOL at 1:1. Grain? what grain? The tones and overall quality are top notch. If it wasn't so expensive I would use this all the time.
