Big Sky Vs Park City

I used this for the first time this week in Park City, Utah as prep for a longer trip to Lofoten in Norway. Carrying all my camera gear felt unbelievably easy with this bag even without having yet figured out how to attach all the straps (for tripod etc). Actually attaching the straps may be the only problem I anticipate since easily-understandable instructions do not come with the bag. The bag holds my Canon 5D Mark iv, 24-70mm and 70-300mm lenses. The top part of the bag holds extra filters and extra clothing. I expect this to work really well for trekking through Norway.

I was able to demo this lens during an event put on by Nikon in Park City Utah for half a day. Amongst the other lens' I took (70-200 VR, 24-70 f/2.8 AF-S) I used this 24mm Tilt Shift the most. Coupled with the D3's full frame sensor, it gave me the ability to shoot vast landscapes and the wide angle needed to easily capture the classy buildings on Park City's historic main street with the perspective corrected. On a DX camera this would still be plenty wide for most applications. And on a small note, this lens is REALLY sharp! With extreme tilt you are able to move the focal plane almost horizontal for selective focus, and when stopped down you then get everything in focus for that perfect sharp corrected shot, with no work needed in photoshop! People, please don't compare this lens to a crop format, wide-angle zoom lens like the Canon 10-22mm (which is a rather cheep feeling lens in the first place). This 24mm PC-E is in a completely different class, and is to be used for completely different applications.

I used this lens with my Nikon D80 for shooting the waterfowl at a local city park and it performed with sharp images and at a good variety of f stops. The VR feature was wonderful and kept the images in focus. Even in the shade the images were full of color and extremely lifelike. The weight of the lens does not detract from quick shots.

I used this product for the first time at a Nature Workshop at Olympic National Park and found it most useful when taking sunrise pictures at the top of the mountain when the sky was light and the foreground was dark. It allowed me to get the detail in the foreground & darken the sky. I hand held it which was a little awkward.

Adds a sweet glow to city lights, night photography and video. Good for skin in darker scenes (in my limited testing); 5 isn't as strong as I expected, but I was looking for a very visible effect. You really see the glow around city lights and bright sky. It makes for a very flared image where there is strong daylight from the sky, but it isn't overwhelming and retains detail. Looking forward to using it for interviews that need a lot of help with skin and night exteriours or dark interiors with lights.

I bought this filter primarily to shoot city scapes at dusk and so far the results have been awesome. It screws on the front of my 24-70mm lens and renders the sky with a purplish tint that enhances the colors at dusk. Used it for the first time on the Manhattan skyline from the Brooklyn Bridge park and the resulting hue of the sky and water was staggering. Just adds that little something to sunset shots

great way to protect your lens. Also brings the blues out in the sky and cuts the haze, seems to always be around in the city.

Used in UT with big sky and canyons - must have for this type of shooting

Took it out to Big Bend National Park. Wish it could handle a UV Filter, but still has crisp pictures.

I purchased this lens prior to my planned trip to Big Bend National Park in late February where I would take my very first astrology photographs. This is an amazing lens coupled with my D850 for both astrology and landscape images. I am VERY satisfied with the Rokinon Lens.
