Billion 4 Port Wireless N Adsl Router Firmware

This router is great. With the latest firmware there is a wizard that sets it up just like your typical all-in-one home router with a WAN port, 4 switched LAN ports, a stateful firewall that blocks all incoming connections, and a dhcp server for serving IPs to the lan. I run a Unifi UAP-AC-Lite off of the passthrough POE port with great success as well. I have a 100mbit down / 10mbit up cable connection and 1gbit lan devices. The router never leaves single digit cpu usage and my packet loss is zero. The edge router x is also tiny. It's literally the size of two smart phones stacked on top of each-other. 5 |

I am very impressed with the RT2600AC Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Router. It was very easy to setup and update the firmware. It was so much easier than the troublesome TP-Link Archer AC1900 that I replaced. The Synology Router firmware does not require compression software. You just click find update and load it with the control software that is included. The dual bands are more than capable of handling many devices with ease. I have the Blast 150 Mbps package and my Xfinity speeds are now 230-240 Mbps. I am extremely pleased and highly recommend this router. I will buy Synology again. B&H is also fantastic. 5 |

Has 90+% of the functionality of a firmware updated router but with the addition of a modern interface. Very easy to setup and configure. Updates come monthly like clockwork. This router was fast enough to support two active VOIP lines, and over 20 concurrent devices, and has a boatload of features and available applications. I didnt even need to set QOS for the VOIP or streaming boxes / apps. Not even a hiccup. Throughput is more then enough for SOHO use. I have several PCs isolated from the LAN running VPNs to corporate offices. Speed is faster then the previous Netgear product. Ill be using this router for years to come. With a recent firmware update, the Synology RT2600AC now supports the latest Wifi encryption WPA3 and a wider 5GHz Channel width of 160Mhz. AMPDU, extended NSS and 802.11r has been added at no additional cost. This router gets better with each update. The Intrusion Detection is now out of Beta and supports many new advanced features with intrusion definitions downloaded weekly via updates just like an Antivirus. Synology makes great products and this one is a KEEPER 5 |

Replaced Synology RT2600 with this in 15 minutes. Signal strength doubled for my computers upstairs and speed tripled. Have 1 GIG Fiber internet both up/down and my upstairs systems could never get more than 200-300 Mbit...they are now getting 700-800 MBIT and router is in same exact place. Note: Make sure you download the latest firmware. I'm using 1.3.1-9346. Also, just as a test after updating my older Synology RT2600 to same firmware, I was able to use it as a mesh. Connected nicely. I also created 3 wireless networks on this new router and VLANed them. Worked perfectly...first try. So far no issues. I wish they put 2 GB of mem on this instead of 1 GB though. Noticed out of the box it's using 60-70% of memory already and I've not turned on all the features. CPU is much better though showing 20-30% usage when my AC2600 was always in the 80-100% usage 5 |

I love this router - very stable, super fast...best part is the firmware - SRM - Synology Router Management. It is the best in the market. I bought this router for it's parental controls and security features including intrusion detection/prevention. I highly recommend this router. 5 |

The price is right. 35 years ago this much storage would probably cost over a billion dollars. 5 |

I used the USB port to load a firmware upgrade, which was easy for me but not clearly documented for less techy users. Otherwise, the software setup was a breeze. Having a quality scanner I prefer this slightly smaller footprint over HP's typical AIO ("all-in-one") printers. Besides the fact that the scanners with the AIO units are generally inferior to a free standing scanner. But I stick with HP for all my printer needs. 5 |
