This item is perfect for long term storage.� This is a solid box, which closes tightly, can be laid on its side and stacked.� The weight of the boxes on the top of the stack is born by the boxes underneath; not the contents in the binders.� The box lays flat for viewing its contents.� It appears to be well constructed. I was looking for something to contain photographs of different sizes in sleeves.� Sleeves eventually deform or tear when a 3 ring binder is stored standing on its bottom edge or side opposite the binder.� Unless the number of photos exactly matches the size of the binder, stacked multiple binders laid flat eventually topple.� There is also the problem of "compressing" the contents within the binders when stacked. These were recommended to me by Dan W in the E-Mail Sales Department and I am delighted he did. I will be buying more. The only drawback is there is no way to label each binder other than taping or attaching a label to the outside. There are only 3 colors; black, gray, and white.� So shelves containing many of these boxes will look 'boring'. 5 |

I bought these because I had 30 years of disorganized boxes of negatives. These did not disappoint me at all. I bought a binder, as well, to put them in, and labeled the binder, all nice and organized now. I am a scrapbooker so it is really nice to know where to go when I need a negative so that I can digitize it to a thumb drive. Excellent purchase! 5 |
