Black & Decker Cordless Lithium Pivot Hand Vacuum

I bought this bad to carry my Black & Decker Battery Powered Laser Level. It was the perfect bag.

I own a few cordless lavalier & hand-held microphone systems (by Sennheiser) that are used for my audio/video projects. An antenna to one of the cordless receivers was found to be broken after I put it in my made-for-video equipment backpack. So, I did a quick research for a safer way to transport the Sennheiser ENG systems and found this on the B&H web-site. Bottom line is that the entire unit of each cordless transformer & receiver, including the antenna, is safely packed into the case for transport.

I've had hand straps on my older Nikons, made by other manufacturers. While they were good, I tended to make them loose fitting because it was annoying to pivot your hand from holding to taking positions while the strap is putting pressure on you. With the Peak hand strap, you loosen the strap for the taking pivot, and then tighten it again for the holding/carrying position. It may seem like it's an unimportant extra step, but the comfort you get in both positions makes the extra effort worthwhile. The price is reasonable given what you get. Enjoy.

I bought the black one because I don't like dealing with extraneous reflections that can occur with chrome. This black boom arm works smooth and is easily adjustable (lengthened, shortened, rotated, balanced, etc...). It mounts to the stud on the top of the stand (which is the most practical and sensible location). I also like the pivot mechanism of this boom. I is a CNC machined aluminum plate that pivots on a shoulder bolt directly over the light stand stud (again, best place for the fulcrum). The boss of the pivot plate is CNC rough milled to allow for better gripping action of the ratcheting pivot clamp handle. Overally I would say this is good deal. Buy with confidence. I am not a paid spokes person, I am a hard working photographer.

This seems like a very well made boom for the price. I had the older black version before with the plastic pivot clamp which broke. I think this one will hold up better as its chrome plated. It is heavy but I think that's the trade of for durability.

Amazing little vacuum/blower!

The long life AA lithium battery has many uses including in an emergency so keeping spares on-hand isn't a worry due to the 10 year shelf life. I use it in business & personal life for cameras, NOAA weather radio, flashlights, hand-held computer, emergency strobe light, laser level, to name a few. B&H always has fresh inventory

It's good to have a battery testing on hand and this one does the lithium and alkaline batteries. One thing I would note is for rechargeable batteries that have been handled a lot; it a good practice to clean terminals with  isopropyl alcohol otherwise it could give inconsistent results. This is covered in the manual and in their FAQ on the website. It is not readily apparent as to why you would need to read the manual for such a straight forward device :).
