Black Ceiling Basement

Have been waiting for a quality 4K short throw in my recently built basement theater room, and this unit met my needs as my ceiling height is low and didn't want to use a ceiling mount unit. I sunk the projector into the floor of the stage so it is not visible when sitting; projected on to a 106 inch screen. The performance is excellent hooked to cable TV, and the 4K from a Pioneer Elite 4k blu ray looks very sharp. Have unit hooked to 7 channel audio system, however most of time for general tv only, just use internal built-in speakers which are ok for a unit this size. Operation is straight forward; adjustments for picture geometry were easy, haven't really used the apps thus far as have only had for a couple weeks. Spent a bit more that originally intended, but was sold on 4K laser short throw technology and would settle for nothing less. 5 |

Hung it from my basement ceiling for an instant green screen (for YouTube videos) that stays out of the way of everyday activities. Seems sturdy enough, and the retracting mechanism is working fine so far. Hangs from hooks so I could take it down and relocate it easily if needed. 5 |

This is my third clamp I have purchased. I have an unfinished basement and I use it for most of my shooting needs. This clamp can go on any ceiling beam have without drilling or making a permanent hole in anything. I also works great on light stands and tripod if you need something within those lines. Really great product. Thanks. 5 |

For all us basement recordists - the perfect solution for mounting room mics from the ceiling joist. Combine this with a heavy duty gooseneck and you're set. One less mic stand to take up floor space. 5 |

I have waited a long time to write this review, so here goes :) My quest to improve my home network started when our pitiful 1.5 Mbps DSL connection was upgraded to 40 Mbps fiber. As part of the install, we purchased a CenturyLink C2100T modem which I have to say is pretty dang good considering that is equiptment provided by the telco. In fact, the CenturyLink modem seems to have a stronger 5G radio that the Ubiquiti! The problem is that it is very unattractive and to really get a good signal, you need to have several access points and/or mount your access point(s) high and free from obstruction. You heard me, do not purchase this unless you plan to mount it...preferably on the ceiling! This does take work, but it is worth it. I started out by plugging the Ubiquiti in from the basement, where the CenturyLink modem was. On the ground floor of the house I did get some signal, but was noticably improved when I ran cable up through the basement ceiling and set it on my dresser. Mounting it in the ceiling did take work as I had to pull the cable through my closet and drill a hole in my 90 year old plaster ceiling. I probably went a little overboard and mounted an electical box in the attic as well so I could seal up the hole to prevent a draft. Now moving the unit from on top of the dresser to the ceiling again improve receiption. Each move, from the basement, to on top of the dresser, to ceiling mounted basically got me an extra bar :) Now from anywhere in the house, I can get pretty much full speed internet over WiFi which is pretty impressive considering that I have plaster walls. Although I do have to say that ping times seem better when connected to the 5G radio and there are places in the house where the 5G radio is not super strong. At some point I may install a second unit to improve this, but for now I am super happy. No more wires :) Awesome internet connection. All of my devices are happy. You should get one (or two) Ubiquiti products today! 5 |

We got four of these to put around our basement bar. The color black goes well with our decor and the casual look is so much better than padded, expensive bar stools. Incredibly fast shipping from B&H; arrived 23 hours after I ordered them! The only "glitch" was that the footrest for one on the chairs had an incorrectly drilled screw hole which made it unusable. I emailed the company and they asked me to send them a picture, as they'd never had this issue before. I did and one hour later a replacement was shipped to me. Amazing customer service from the manufacturer and incredibly fast shipping from B&H. Wow! The chairs look great. 5 |

I needed an adapter to bring the down rod for a sloped ceiling mounted projector to vertical. The company I purchased my golf simulator from recommended this adapter. This heavy duty adapter did the trick perfectly. The female end fit the threads on my separately purchased down rod. The adapter includes a little stub threaded piece to screw in to hold the down rod in place after tightening to desired position. I bought the white (also offered in black) adapter which looks good on my white ceiling. The down rod is black so it could be OK with either color. Also the adapter tube is hollow so that the USB cord could possibly be run inside through the down rod. My cord did not accommodate that routing so I zip tied the cords to the down rod. 5 |

I've had it for only about two weeks, but it has been sturdy enough to hold my 107 black and white backdrops. My ceiling is tilted and the top cushion is adjustable so that was super nice to have being able to stay flush with my ceiling. Chains work fluid. I set it up myself, but having two people would make is easier. 5 |

I used this on a 'low-ceiling' shoot. It lit two people sitting at a table; easy to direct the light using the black 'skirt' - nice, even light. 5 |

Our Church was looking for replacement choir mics as the ones we had were over 10 years old and were black and our ceiling is white. After talking to one of the B&H staff, they recommed this product, it isn't the cheapest and not the most expensive. Installation was a snap, the 50' cord is a blessing as some came with only 35', powerful pick up for such a small package. After installation most folks could no find them as they blend in so well. We may need one more mic for the size of our choir, but we were advised to try two as we could add more later if needed. 5 |
