Black Graphite Mechanical Pencil For Drawing

I like the way it makes you feel like you are drawing with a pencil on paper than an iPad.

The paper is great - expensive, but worth it. It came very fast, and the sheets are very smooth - I use it for drawing with graphite.

Paperlike provides protection & tactile / audible feedback that makes drawing with the pencil much more natural.

Great quality paper. Color came out outstanding especially for pencil drawing texture! It's a little pricy...

Great lead supply for my mechanical pencil. These are very thick and so far, not a single has broken even when I extend a bit. Very happy with these lead refills.

First the bad: These are not black !! They're sort of a graphite grey, so they don't match the rest of pretty much everything on the bandstand. It's a minor niggle, but also a very silly design flaw, IMO. Also, the knob that holds the foot-extender in place tends to loosen up very quickly. I'v goten in the habit of tweaking it tight each time I collapse the stands, so no biggie, but it's still a flaw. Everything else is just fantastic: Very sturdy. Taller than I expected. (the listed height is to the bottom of the speaker, not the tip of the stand. The air system works reasonable well, even with my 85 lb speakers. Even the case is great: Very heavy and nicely reinforced. Expensive, but worth it. I just wish they were black.

I very quickly got used to Paperlike and found that it made iPad drawing more sensitive and the Apple Pencil much more controllable. I would advise anyone to follow instructions for applying Paperlike and even do it in steamy bathroom to avoid airborne dust. Paperlike also treated me with great patience after making stupid mistake ordering wrong size! Will definitely reorder.

Love this look. Feels and is designed like a pencil. Easy to use holds a charge for days. The writing is the same as writing on paper. Great for taking notes and drawing. I did notice when drawing you don't have it touch the screen sometimes.

The screen protector is very nice to have on my iPad and drawing with it is so much better than drawing directly on the glass screen itself. It has just enough grit to give the pencil some resistance when drawing. It also gives the screen a very smooth feeling and my hand glides across the screen effortlessly, unlike the sticky feeling of the glass upon prolonged use. Also, I've watched some reviewers who say that it gives their screen a rainbow-y effect, and while I've noticed some distortion, it was insignificant enough that it has never bothered me and now I don't even notice it. This may be because of the upgrade given to the Paperlike 2. It also helps that the matte screen reduces glare and fingerprints. The only issue I could possibly see with using this screen protector is that it will gradually wear away my pencil's tip and that the exposed tip will scratch at the screen (and hopefully not my ipad's screen if it does well at protecting it). However, this is a common issue with all matte screen protectors, and seeing how much finer the grit is on the Paperlike 2 compared to some of its other competitors, I believe my nib will last longer with this than with the others (and save me some dollars from having to constantly buy new tips). All in all, I am very happy with this product and I will not hesistate to recommend it to anyone who wants to have a better iPad experience!
