It feels great shooting with this camera. The ergonomics match my bigger hands perfectly and the images have, to me, an extra punch to them. The camera is also significantly quieter than any previous SLR I've used. One thing to watch out for though if you shoot RAW and are still using a standalone CS6 for processing. The camera raw on the CS6 will not read raw files from the D500 and cannot be updated to do so. However adobe does have a DNG converter program you can download for free to convert the D500 raw files to a DNG (digital negative) file that can be read by older camera raw files. 5 |
