Black Magic Pocket Camera Raw File Size

I use these on my Black Magic Pocket 6K camera recording RAW & Pro Res and so far have had no issues or concerns.

Having a truly pocket-able camera for everyday use will change the way you shoot. The DNG raw file looks good and it's plenty of pixel to crop in if you like a close filed of view. Ibis comes in handy when you need it.

We recently bought this card to be used with the new Black Magic Design URSA Cinema Camera. We shoot raw at 4K so speed was a big factor. To date the card has performed flawlessly. Its priced right too compared to other Cfast card brands. We highly recommend it.

This is my second Black Magic Camera (also have the original Pocket Cinema). BM’s Color Space is great as always. BRaw is a fantastic codec. Love the new design. Love that it has a more robust set of pro connections for audio and video out. Bluetooth app works well. BM has quite literally the simplest menu system on the planet. Are there Oscar style awards for camera menus? If so BM is the Return of the King of camera menus. Obviously, like any pro level camera, it needs some rigging to be fully functional (also buying a metabones speedbooster is almost a must). Having an external power source is also a good plan (I found Tilta’s rig handles this decently and compactly). The long and short is, this is a sub $2k Camera that shoots Raw in 4K that, with some light effort, you can cut with Alexa or RED footage. I’m not sure what more you could want. Blackmagic is the perfect name for this company.

We upgraded to the Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k because of our need for a better low-light video camera. The old camera delivered too much grain to the video in even the best of circumstances. The Black Magic camera, though, has dual ISO which allowed us to find the perfect settings to capture crisp and clear hi-res video.

I bought this camera a few months ago as an upgrade to my D750 but waited until now to rate it to have some real experience to be able to report on. There is nothing I dislike about this camera. Here is why I love it vs. the D750 which I loved to use too: Features: I use photo stacking for Macro and find the Nikon set up on the D850 easy to use. There are other features I have yet to explore. Focus Area Coverage: It is much wider than the D750, so it is easier to use off center focus points. I always thought this was the worst thing about the D750 so am happy this was improved here. Build Quality / Weather Sealing - the D850 is a more solid camera that is a bit larger. Viewfinder - Excellent size and coverage. AutoFocus - fast and accurate Image Quality - Excellent - so far I have not seen a big improvement over the D750 but have not tried making any large prints. - The only downside to this camera is the huge Raw file sizes which load up your computer memory. I'm going to try Raw Lossless Compressed to reduce file size. Overall, this is the best camera I've ever owned.

I use this for my Small HD Focus monitor on my Black Magic Pocket 6K camera setup. It plugs into a Core AB battery plate and I can power my monitor for hours.
