The only thing I would change about this product is its color. Black makes it harder to spot when it has been misplaced.

Great screen protection. There is always one spot that traps an air bubble!

I got this mainly to use as spot meter for largeformat black and white photography to learn zone system. I take reading of the shadows, press ave / ev button to scan the scene to check the range and either under expose one or two stops to put the shadows in zone in or iii.

I have used the Savage black background papers for about 20 years now. I recently ran out just prior to a photo shoot and needed to get a replacement on the spot. The local dealer didn't carry Savage any longer so I had to use another brand. I was very disappointed. The difference is that the Savage background makes a smooth transition from lights highlighting areas of the background to dark areas that still retain some texture. I find this very appealing. The paper I needed to buy on the spot had a steep falloff from the highlight areas and the blacks contained very little texture. Okay for a stark photograph but not really my style. I feel so strongly about the differences that I'll likely not do another shoot with the replacement paper. I immediately ordered a replacement roll of Savage black.
