Getting read speeds of 500-600 MBs from a Delkin Black card. The reader is not heating up at all. Stays cool. A lot of reviews for other readers say the card and reader get hot, not this one! 5 |

So I had been using a Delkin card reader to download my image files from a Delkin Black CF Express type B card used in my Nikon Z8 and Z9. The Delkin reader has performed well and downloads them to my IPad Pro very quickly. But I’ve noticed the exterior of the reader gets quite warm. So wanting to look at other options I read the reviews on the OWC Atlas reader and purchased it from B&H. Delivery was excellent as is their norm. I’m very happy with the reader. If anything, from my perspective it appears to be even faster than the Delkin. It also is has more mass and runs cooler with the larger effective heat sink. I will keep the Delkin as a backup but my go to now is the OWC unit. Highly recommended. 5 |
