Blackmagic Camera Compatible Devices

Blackmagic makes the NICEST DEVICES EVER!

I just received this gimbal and am setting it up for use with my SONY FX30. I know that that camera is not currently on DJI's list of compatible devices for this gimbal, but I wanted to share that as of May 2023 the camera and gimbal will pair over Bluetooth, enabling the gimbal to control the camera. This was one of my questions going into purchasing the gimbal, so hopefully this can help someone else. DJI seems to be pretty slow to update their list of compatible devices and there are currently several SONY cameras (ZV-1, FX30, ZV-E1) on the market that seem like they should work with this gimbal. At least I can confirm that one does.

The description is a tiny bit confusing... While is says: Blackmagic Design... it then adds Compatible which I didn't realize that it IS in fact a BMD Original battery. Just in case there's any confusion if you're wondering the same question.

This Lanc controller is 100% compatible with both the Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera and the Ursa Mini 4.6K. It controls Auto Iris, Manual Iris, Start/Stop Record and Manual Focus using the rocker. It is small enough to fit on a gimbal and tripod handle. Focusing using the rocker panel is very smooth. I'm glad I bought it.

This is an accessory that should not be missing among the devices of all Canon shooters with compatible cameras. A real must have.

This adapter is a little more expensive but it worth it. It is a fast one and very compatible with Apple devices. I recommend it.

It does the job with my Blackmagic. I would not use any third party in my camera.

The Blackmagic Design devices are excellent, high-quality and function well.  They are also (particularly the Mini Converter Analog to SDI) excellent GPS signal jammers and that fact has caused me a lot of grief.  I use the analog to SDI converter in my aircraft and the SDI to analog converter in my office.  I have three GPS receivers in my small plane that I do infrared remote sensing work with and all three were jammed and rendered inoperable when the converter had power applied to it.  My plan is to speak with the company to see if there is something they can do with internal shielding, and alternatively, Ill build a Faraday cage to limit the negative effects on my navigation equipment which is typically within about five or six feet of the converter.

Used these devices to successfully convert SDI content from a Blackmagic ATEM switcher to several HDMI displays. Initial use of Blackmagic SDI/HDMI converters was not successful because the Blackmagic device did not convert the 59.94Hz refresh rate to 60Hz. The Gefen Scaler/Converter is able to do this. One note: You MUST change the Blackmagic ATEM to Level A output from its default Level B. This is on the General Configuration tab.
