Because of the large power capacity the Ronin-S holds, plugging my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cam 4K (which drains power like no business) directly into my Ronin-S gives me the most sufficient power option to my camera while using it on the Ronin-S. No need for external power which just adds extra weight and could become cumbersome. 5 |

I bought it to see if I could get some fair in camera audio for my Blackmagic Cinema Camera 2.5K using a Tascam DR-100MKII as a microphone for some interviews. I'm really tired of capturing audio with an external audio recorder, then finding the audio clip, synchronizing with video and repeating the process in post. I wanted to try to get in camera audio even if that means to deal with some messy cables from my camera. So this Hosa Technology REAN 3.5mm TRS to Dual 1/4 TS Pro Cable was the best solution I could find. In camera audio quality was fair if you place the Tascam about 3 feet away from the talent, I'm pretty sure an audio technician can get even better results as I'm more about video. In post you can enhance what you captured eliminating the white noise. You can also use the cable to attach it to wireless audio receiver it works ways better with a Lavalier system. 5 |
