Blackmagic Cinema Camera Vs Canon 5D Mark 3

Upgraded from the Canon 5D Mark 4. Amazing!!!

It works well with my Canon 5D Mark IV.

I have two of these - one for Canon body, one for Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera. When the cameras are powered from a 98 WH IDX battery with D-taps, I can run the cameras literally all-day without worrying when the battery needs to be changed. So far everything works perfectly - no problems with fit, no problems with function. Nothing gets hot. Very happy with these adapters.

I have been shooting with a Blackmagic Cinema Camera and Production Camera for years, but have only used Canon L Glass along with my default ef-s 17-55 2.8. Moving to cine-style primes not only helps with my follow focus setup, but I'm getting much sharer images. The 14mm doesn't show a ton of distortion on my 4K camera, and none on my 2.5k. These are really super speeds since most are at T 1.5. I can't recommend these enough.

I use this as an adapter for my Blackmagic Cinema Pocket Camera which allows me to use my Canon mount Rokinon Cine Lenses. Since the lenses are fully manual, I can manage the aperture and focus with no electronics. For me it is a perfect solution for using these lenses.

Love this bag. Perfect for my Blackmagic 6K Pocket Cinema Camera with Cage and long Canon servo cinema zoom lens. Zippers are high quality which is super important to me. Don't buy cheap bags they just don't last. Been there done that. Highly recommend this item. Cheers! W. Oliver

Bought this for my canon 5D Mark II camera, and chose the Canon brand over other less expensive 3rd party brands due to its solid construction and locking connector. I'm using this mainly for HD video timelapse. A common complaint with many users of this brand and others is that there is no power on/off switch. So far, not an issue for me, however. The battery drain is very minimal.

Honestly, When I first started (2004) I wasn't a Sony fan. Then Canon took the cake and inadvertently took digital filmmaking by accident with the 5D. And they held that candle for quite some time with their many iterations of the cinema line. Listen, I've had them all. Canon 5D, Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 7D, Canon C100, Canon C300, Canon C200, Red Epic Dragon, Sony FS700, Sony A7S, Sony a7Sii, Panasonic GH2, Panasonic GH3 (one of my favorites), Sony FS7, and the money pit continues on! The Sony A7Siii bridges the gap to enable you to meet most cinema quality standards, stay compact, great autofocus, amazing dynamic range, good battery life for the size, Amazing EVF (don't get it on the FX3) Great image stabilization, It's literally the most perfect camera I've ever laid my hands on. BTW, We're no slouches over here. We've delivered high-end Nationwide broadcast spots with that camera and a sigma lens. Just saying. It's the first camera that frees up creativity if you know what you're doing. Instead of having multiple hands to run a single camera. This camera will be hard to beat for years to come IMO. Well, the A1 is pretty sweet but a little overkill (and can overheat).
