It's nice to make that leap from shooting on a DSLR to working with the Blackmagic Production 4K camera. It makes the transition even easier when I'm able to use all the batteries I've accumulated over the years. Also, being able to plug in sound with XLR inputs is a HUGE bonus. 5 |

I have been shooting with a Blackmagic Cinema Camera and Production Camera for years, but have only used Canon L Glass along with my default ef-s 17-55 2.8. Moving to cine-style primes not only helps with my follow focus setup, but I'm getting much sharer images. The 14mm doesn't show a ton of distortion on my 4K camera, and none on my 2.5k. These are really super speeds since most are at T 1.5. I can't recommend these enough. 5 |

Using this on a 28-300 Canon attached to a BlackMagic production 4K camera. So nice to not have to go into the menu to adjust for light settings when you can just spin this up or down. 5 |

Purchased this to use with the Blackmagic 12K camera. It is relatively easy to install (be careful when removing the battery block), and the mounting bracket is sturdy and well made. The most critical point to remember is that the Recorder is entirely dependent on the SSD utilized. You can not just stick any SSD into the Recorder and expect it to record high-bandwidth 12K Blackmagic RAW files. Currently we are using the Samsung 983 DCT U.2 MZ-QLB1T9NE 1.92TB SSD - it has the speed necessary to keep up with 12K data. Overall the URSA Mini Recorder is a great accessory for the 12K camera, it is much better (and more economical) than having to shell out for C-Fast cards. 5 |
