My go-to standard for recorders. I have used other rack-mounted recorders like the Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio and the Aja KiPro Rack outshines them all. My older KiPro is still going strong from 2012! 5 |

I just needed a way to get video files from my SSD cards (recorded on a Hyperdeck Shuttle) into my Mac and didn't want an expensive dock. I will probably end up with a dock for my office, but this cable will stay in my kit so that I can download and review clips on the road without taking bulky hardware along for the ride. 5 |

I use this not only to power my Small HD monitor, but using a barrel adapter use it to power my Hyperdeck Shuttle or other 12v accessories. 5 |

I connect the component output from my Canon XHA1 through the mini converter to the Blackmagic Hyperdeck shuttle. This allows me to record directly to hard drives and eliminates the time involved in tape capture. The quality is also improved. I have been using the Hyperdeck with my Canon XHG1 which has the SDI ouput. The converter allows the use with the A1 model. This speeds up workflow. Default setting were perfect for me and the ability to input digital or analog audio fits with my practice where I feed all cameras identical audio from a distribution amp while recording master audio on an Allen and Heath ICE 16. 5 |

I was fighting with a Blackmagic shuttle device, which would only work on a prior OS on my Mac, when this unit was recommended to me by a colleague. Bought it and it worked instantly with no fuss. Loved it so much, I bought a second one! We use this to connect a camera to OBS for live broadcasting on cable and online. With all the tech hurdles we've faced, this little unit hasn't given us any trouble at all. It's still new to our arsenal so I can't speak to it's longevity, but I'm impressed with its ease of use and quality. 5 |
