I bought it to use with a Blackmagic Decklink Quad 2 - the only drivers needed were for Decklink Card. It is thunderbolt 3. I am using an adopter to Thunderbolt 2 for 2 of my Macs, has worked with everything. No Issues 5 |

I used 2 of the prev version of the exact same box with Thunderbolt 2 connectors for 6+ years to bring in 2 Canon cams with HDMI outs to my previous MacBook Pro (for use with recording and live-streaming with Wirecast and others). I just got a brand new M1 MacPro with Thunderbolt 4 (usb-C) connectors so needed 2 of these to make the same connections as the BlackMagic drivers that work with Apple Silicon didn't support the older boxes I had. It was seamless - and the BlackMagic driver package for Apple Silicon macs worked as expected. No problems, and got right up and running on my new Mac. A little pricey for just being a converter box but it just works which is comforting in a production environment. 5 |
