Blackmagic Ursa 4K Camera Review

Works just fine with my Blackmagic 4k URSA mini.

If you want a really really solid cinema style camera you really can't beat this. The picture this camera produces is absolutely beautiful. On top of that the menu is easy to navigate and the camera itself is really reliable both physically and with its performance. There are a ton of super convenient features you get with this camera and of course it's always nice that Blackmagic ships these with a license for the full version of Davinci Resolve. Don't be mistaken, this is not really a good hybrid shooter. It's mainly for video and with that said there is no IBIS and the battery life is not great but that's to be expected from a cinema camera. But really, if you know this is the sort of camera you're wanting to get then you really really can't go wrong. I absolutely love Blackmagic as a company and their products are always so fairly priced so for me it's a no brainer. For those wondering if they want a 4k or the 6k Pro or even an Ursa...I bought the original 4k and even though I will always love it, I did buy a metabones speed booster and at that point I should've just gotten the 6k...but the 6k didn't exist at that time. If you aren't sure if you need an ursa or not then you probably don't need an ursa and for the price the 6k G2 will still produce one of the most beautiful pictures you'll see at a fraction of the size and cost.

I have a Blackmagic Ursa Mini 4K and I wanted a case that would hold the camera with the viewfinder and vmount attached. This case does just that. Plus the cutouts fit well for accessories and batteries. I love this case. The case is also rather sturdy and after seeing the build of it I will rest at ease when checking this on flights.

So far, this has been a great lens. I'm using it with my Blackmagic Ursa Mini 4K digital film camera (shooting mostly video) and the results are really good. Very happy. Nice look without the super high pricing that you see with other lens companies. Not sure how they do it - but the images are looking great!

I just unboxed and started working this camera as a long time Blackmagic customer since URSA 4K V1 I am excited to see what this little guy can do. I will update as I use it in real life scenario this weekend.

I recorded a short 4k film using the Blackmagic Ursa mini, in log. I was worried that this devise was not going to transfer all that data to my external drive but it did the job nicely.

I haven't had any problems with dropped frames or errors with my Blackmagic URSA 4K in 1:1 RAW at 60fps.

I still have my Anton Bauer batteries, this plate will allow you to use them with the Blackmagic's URSA 4K and 4.6K. Plug it in, screw it on and go.

This quick release was recomended for my Blackmagic Ursa camera. Fits perfectly with it.
