Blimp Drone With Camera Stadium

This mount make my Blimp very very lightweight.

Small but good, enough for my camera and drone.

Used this camera at night time in outside stadium and quality was very nice. For the price and peformance, you cannot beat! PLus, it is very simple to use and sync well with my iMac computer to iMovie program. I am very happy with my purchase.

I ordered the RODE Blimp for a low budget commercial that took place on a baseball field. Our original location fell through and we were forced to shoot on a field that had no protection from the wind. During the shoot the wind was consistantly 15-20mph with gusts up to 30. The blimp handled it wonderfully. This was an investment that for me, paid for itself on the first day. The only minor drawbacks were the clip for the integrated cable which was dificult to keep in place when assembling the blimp. Also know that it is rather large and requires a sturdy boom, but for it's size and construction is realtively light. Great Product.

I ordered this Rode Blimp as part of a boom setup, all parts were ordered from B&H. I was excited the minute I had the package in my hands. Rode has a nack for making great looking packaging for their products. Packaging aside, the Rode Blimp is awesome right out of the box. It has a sturdy feel and as you adjust the different components of the blimp, it doesn't feel like it's about to fall apart like some systems. The pistol grip handle is really great, with a quick realease lever to adjust the angle of the blimp. I know I'll be using the pistol grip in many audio situations where a boom is not necessary. All of the XLR connections in the handle and the cables are very high quality. It's also easy to replace the cable should it ever become damaged. The suspension system is great and you can adjust the rubber bands to be in different configurations. The ends of the blimp just screw on with one turn, much less cumbersome than other slot and tab systems. The thing I love about Rode is that they include all accessories with the kit. The blimp comes with a handled allen wrench for making adjustments, as well as a brush for the furry wind cover.

I owned an original RDE Blimp with my NTG-3 shotgun. The only reason I sold it was to buy this new version. The blimp still has the same, great level of protection, but the Rycote Lyre suspension is much quieter than the elastic mount in the first version. What's even better is the differnce in weight. The version 2 design has eliminated a considerable amount of material and thus weight. I can run with this one for longer periods of time without fatigue. Adjustments are very easy to make in configuring the blimp to fit the mic and to maintain the proper aim. If you liked the first, you'll love the second!

This is a perfect fit the the Rode Blimp I got 2 years ago. I had a reply old blimp and fur that were falling apart around a Sennheiser 816t mic. This extension comes with a new dead wombat which is also exactly what I needed.
