Blink Doorbell Camera Backplate Replacement

I used to have a Blink. This doorbell is better with better app interaction to answer a doorbell ring. The angle plates are a good design to line up the view properly.

I bought this to use on my Blink security camera base unit. It is a perfect fit for my needs.

This particular doorbell camera has a great lens and very easy to install.

I bought this after my full-frame Sony went on the blink. Grandkids were coming and I needed a camera fast but, thinking my 'good' camera could be repaired, decided I didn't want to spend a lot of money on an interim replacement. After a couple of weeks of shooting I've come to love it. It's light, fast, colors are true and the dynamic range is very good for a camera at this price point. I've paired it with a Sigma 56mm 1.4 Art Lens and a Tamron 15-200mm zoom and am getting great photos.

I bought this mainly because it is a single backplate, rather than the cheap ones that have you put braces between two separate back plates to create a longer one. I heard stories of those breaking or not being level, and it's just a flimsy design. This thing is solid though, and the install was really quite easy.

Nice case. Good cable management options, plenty of room behind the backplate. Great airflow.

I'm using this to attach to my backplate on my Larson hotshoe flash/softbox to mount my profoto B2 OCF head. I screw it in to a bottom screw and it helps me so I don't have to order a specific backplate by profoto. The weight is on the bottom instead of around the head so the bulk of the softbox weight is on the bracket not the head.
