Blink Outdoor Camera Fogging Up

I bought this to use on my Blink security camera base unit. It is a perfect fit for my needs.

So handy to have. No problem of fogging.

I bought this after my full-frame Sony went on the blink. Grandkids were coming and I needed a camera fast but, thinking my 'good' camera could be repaired, decided I didn't want to spend a lot of money on an interim replacement. After a couple of weeks of shooting I've come to love it. It's light, fast, colors are true and the dynamic range is very good for a camera at this price point. I've paired it with a Sigma 56mm 1.4 Art Lens and a Tamron 15-200mm zoom and am getting great photos.

I own other rain covers but had problems with fogging up and aleigning the plastic windows with the camera's LCD & menu displays in the rain, inconvient when in a downpour. The RainCoat, because its open in the back, and can be closed in heavy rain, permits easy access to the camera (D3s)and fogging is not a problem because the RainCoat shields the back of the camera. I use the 70-200mm lens. This is not an everyday use product but very handy and folds up small in the bag or pocket.

I have a couple of microfiber cloths in my camera bag, which I would use to clean my camera filter -- sometimes after fogging it with my breath. While they do an okay job, they're not as thorough as these lens wipes. And because I don't wash them regularly, I worry that I'm reapplying skin oils and other stuff they previously removed. The lens wipes not only clean my filter completely, but because they have the Zeiss name, I trust the chemical solution they're moistened with.

Thankful that I got my order. Once again I don't have to worry about fogging the lens from the heat of the camera. Enjoying taking family pictures at the beach, pool and out on the boat.
