I bought this after my full-frame Sony went on the blink. Grandkids were coming and I needed a camera fast but, thinking my 'good' camera could be repaired, decided I didn't want to spend a lot of money on an interim replacement. After a couple of weeks of shooting I've come to love it. It's light, fast, colors are true and the dynamic range is very good for a camera at this price point. I've paired it with a Sigma 56mm 1.4 Art Lens and a Tamron 15-200mm zoom and am getting great photos. 5 |

All the Wooden Camera Canon C70 accessory kits suffer from a design flaw - The top plate and handle only interface with the camera via one bolt. As a result, the top plate consistently works loose from the camera and introduces an unacceptable amount of play into any peripherals attached to the camera. I'm certain Wooden Camera developed this accessory to solve this design flaw. This accessory adds a mounting point so that the cage also connects via a bolt underneath the camera. So yes, this is a great product, but only because it solves a design flaw that should not have been present to start with. I expect more from Wooden Camera accessory kits especially at their price point. 5 |
