This was a great purchase. I have used it with my old Hi8 camcorder, a Pa an console, my old VCR and a PlayStation II and it worked just as it is supposed to! My 84 year old father can play Tomb Raider again! This product was more compact than I imagined and had the weight and feel of a high quality piece of equipment. So far, it has exceeded my expectations. I may purchase another one, after I test it on another TV.

I connect these headphones into a Sony Playstation Vita and listen to songs using the Sony Music Unlimited application. This gives me adequate emphasis of bass to help me determine the notes which are sometimes difficult to hear and decipher. When wanting to play along to the music simultaneously using either guitar or bass, I simply plug MDR-7506 through the headphone port on subwoofer/amp combo or DI box. The Playstation Vita is then connected to auxillary port using appropriate auxillary cable. I then have the option of muting the output to the internal speaker depending on whether or not I want my neighbors to hear. MDR-7506 also come with a pouch to carry headphones and cable in. The earpads are soft which make extended listening appropriate. Though, I am fearful these pads may breakdown or tear at a faster rate or higher percentage. This is ok since the earpads themselves can be replaced without buying a complete new product. Another concern is the thin wire connection run independently to the left and right speakers. They could become caught within the sliding adjustment piece that is used to accomodate different head sizes. No worry just something to be aware and cautious of in advance. Overall, the sound is excellent with great clarity and bass. The price was just right for my budget. I wanted to splurge and spend more on this component of my system. However, after testing several other higher priced models, I simply could not justify passing up the quality this unit provided. Legitimacy confirmed!

b&h has a clearly organized section on cables and this handy cord has made life on the roar far easier since Apple, in its silliness supplies a mouse with an extensive laptop that has a cord suited to the right side of the laptop in length but the USB is on the left!

If you're looking to capture really clean stereo recordings of anything from quiet landscapes to the roar of downtown traffic, this is an excellent choice. I chose this over the H6 due to its slightly smaller footprint. This is so small and lightweight I can fit it easily into a number of pockets in my various cases or even slide it into a jacket pocket. Of course, this has the functionality to do more (i.e. modular mics, stereo input on capsule allowing for more mics to be used). I like that I've got the option to capture a stereo recording of the ambience via the capsule and plug two additional mics (i.e. lavaliers, boom etc) for a more direct, up-close recording of my subject. The included dead cat works great and eliminates wind noise even on the windiest of days.
