Blu Ray Home Theater Systems With Wireless Speakers

I bought this Blu-ray/streaming player as part of an update my home theater. I like it and it works well with speakers I had before. I needed a new Blu-ray player as I have a library and am concerned about the loss of Blu-ray players as the market disappears. I like this because it is well built and sturdy. 5 |

We had an old blu-ray player that no longer could play the latest Blu-Ray discs or even new DVDs. This player does it all very well. We have other pay-for-view providers that look better after installing this player. We also find that it is faster when reacting to remote button pushes. There is little to no lag in sending/receiving commands. Our system has a seven channel surround system and the sound from this player is wonderful. It also make a big difference when playing CDs when we use it for a music player. This player is not inexpensive, but at this point has been worth every cent we spent on it. The people at B&H also got it to us with standard shipping in three days. If you are looking to purchase a new Blu-Ray player, this would be the one to purchase. 5 |

I needed a new amp for vintage KLH Six speakers I refurbished and my new Blu Ray player. B&H salesman explained exactly why this particular amp would meet my needs. I love how my speakers sound with this Sony 590 and with power to spare. Set up was a snap - the Sony recognized my Blu Ray; i didn't even have to go into menu. B&H Staff and service are the greatest. Highly recommend this amp. 5 |

I have these speakers attached to my computer through one of the optical digital inputs and my Blu-ray networked player attached through the co-axial spdif input. I can use them when using my computer, or when not using my computer I can use them when watching a movie or video through my blu-ray player just by switching inputs. 5 |

I moved into a new house, and the previous owner left behind an A/V system - nice Cambridge wall mounted speakers and a sub. The receiver was an old Pioneer unit, and I just couldn't get it to work with modern TV and blu-ray equipment. So I started shopping around for an inexpensive unit that would provide 5.1 channel sound and handle HDMI inputs and outputs. Enter the Yamaha! It does so much at such a low price point! It communicates perfectly with my Samsung TV, and decodes multi-channel audio from OTA TV, online streaming services, and blu-ray. I also love how the TV remote automatically controls the volume of the unit through the bi-directional HDMI connection. I also love the bluetooth audio feature - my phone paired easily and plays Spotify throughout the living room. As an added bonus, the rear surround speakers mirror the fronts when playing 2 channel music - exactly what I would want to cover a room with background music. In short, an excellent priced unit without a lot of un-needed bells and whistles. You won't be disappointed! 5 |

Able to burn home videos perfectly to these 50G blu-ray disks. Not 1 dud! 5 |

I needed this to get photos, home video, and audio recordings off of old CDs and DVDs that are degrading (faster than I'd thought). I just plugged it to my Mac (late 2018, intel processor) via usb-C and it worked! I didn't have to install anything. Anyway, my favorite things about this disc drive is how slim it is and that it doesn't need a separate power supply or cable. It works with a single USB-C cable. Two more things: 1. It comes with software but it's only compatible with PC. 2. I tried looking for legitimate software for 4k Blu-ray playback and couldn't find anything that didn't look at least a little sketchy. If watching Blu-ray movies is what you want to do with this drive (without ripping discs), know you won't be able to do that-or if you figure it out, it'll likely be a hassle. Finally, I didn't know I'd feel nostalgic after hearing the spinning of a disc in a disc drive but I did. 5 |
