Blue 3 Drawers Plastic

I have 4 of these. They took the place of random storage in plastic bags and the bottom of drawers. I like them because they are waterproof and secure, yet easy to open without breaking a fingernail, unlike some other competitors. Not expensive and highly recommended.

I've only had this lens for a couple weeks and have only used it a couple of times. But it functions exactly as it should. The blue plastic covers that ship on the lens are fairly obvious with long pull tabs. Maybe this has changed over time in response to people not knowing to remove these. But I was glad that I had seen that in some of the other reviews. The autofocus is a little bit noisier than with Canon lenses, but that isn't a concern of mine at all. So far, great little lens at a fraction of the Canon price!

The blue plastic case is nice enough quality, but basically useless for me. Inside, however, is a fine charger and good batteries. Only one idiosyncrasy, which is that the indicator lights are green while charging, then they go out as each battery reaches capacity. This can be a bit disorienting, if you are used to the more familiar system used on many other chargers: red or yellow charging lights and green lights to indicate full charges.

A prime-lens aficionado friend was using a 35mm for our in-studio behind the scenes shots and the focal length was perfect for the layout of our studio. So, we just had to have one, too. The specs and reviews and price sold us and into the online cart it went. The performance is excellent. Also, I'd read about those forgetting to remove the blue protection layer of plastic on the front of the lens. I didn't notice there is another blue piece of plastic on the rear and after a few frames with a blue tint, I knew I'd missed something. Ooops. At least I had a heads up from reading reviews. Sum: it is a really good value and is recommended.

Nitecore filter is made of glass, not plastic. I bought all three red, green and blue in preparation for my hunting trip. A simple try at home shows vivid colors with good light transition.

Exactly what I needed for lighting up backstage rack drawers. Just as described.
