Blue Microphones Sl Large Diaphragm Condenser

I have bought several of these microphones throughout the years. I don't know another large-diaphragm condenser microphone with this price point that records as good audio as the NT-1. It has almost no noise to speak of. I pair it with a Scarlett 4i4 and the quality I get is incredible. Couldn't recommend this enough.

I purchased this particular Pelican case to safely travel with a pair of large diaphragm condenser microphones and their accompanying shock mounts. The selectable foam is perfect for getting the best fit, and the Pelican service and warranty can't be beat.

This is the best value in low cost small diaphragm condenser microphones that I have found. Offering both Omni and Cardioid capsules, other microphones usually cost more than double the price for similar features. There is no switch to click to change the mic pattern; one simply has to unscrew the capsule and change it that way. I use it for recording acoustic guitar and find the sound to be perfect and I am very happy with my purchase. I'm so glad I got this mic as it is now discontinued....so get em' while they're still to be found. As a side note, this microphone is almost identical to the Superlux 241.

Good, general purpose large diaphragm condenser. It is gold vapor deposited on the diaphragm, but it's no C-414, or Shure, for that matter. However, for the price, it will get you started. I bought this mic to match up with a GXL2200 I already had so I'd have a matching pair. I use this to pick up choir groups, pianos, etc. in a live-sound environment. It doesn't seem to have the output the pricier mics have, but it's also $800 - $1000 cheaper - there's the trade-off. So far I've been able to make up for it with the gain knob. With all that said, the overall sound quality is great and noise floor low. It should work fine for just about any application.

This is a recording I made you could listen to https://soundcloud.com/i-was-never-here/too I'm just using the large diaphragm condenser mic attachment I really love it I'm very happy with this but I'm worried about it's life span. If it lasts which I tried to buy the warranty but it's not available in Florida, it would be perfect. Exactly what I'm looking for.

I use this product as a mic cable to patch two large diaphragm condenser mics to a small mixer and to run through a clear com system and it works great!! The Audio-technica Premium Microphone Cable is what I will be purchasing in the future when it comes to balanced XLR cables.

Bought it and using it as an alternative large diaphragm condenser microphone for vocal and acoustic recording. Definitely a difference in character of sound and quality as compared to staple SM 58 Shure. Good with details and such. One slight gripe may be the limited peaking capacity. the -10dB pad is there but I personally don't believe that I should be using it most of the time. Loud recording applications may feel some limitations, however its value to performance ratio is a definite plus. Good well rounded function and use so far! If you're using it in the home studio make sure you have some isolation proofing done b/c it will pick up the echos. (and also thin window pane means you'll get car traffic noise picked up in this thing - very sensitive!)

Years ago I had a large diaphragm condenser mic custom upgraded for my voice. I never could get it to sound as good as I needed. After plugging it in the SSL 2 it's fantastic. Click on the 4K boost and it's a sound that sets it apart from everything else. I use it mostly for commercial VoiceOver and video audio. Wish I had it years ago.

This a very good large diaphragm condenser mic. Works well on many sources. A good preamp and high quality cable will make it perform at it's best. Pretty hard to beat this good looking condenser mic considering the sub $ price tag. No, it's not a Neumann but try it on different sources and I have no doubt that this mic will find a spot in your mic cabinet. Treat it gently and it should perform well for many years.
