Blue Microphones Snowball Ice Sound Test

I use the Blue Snowball ICE for recording vocals and the sound it picks up is great. It's clear without background interference and can be used for cd quality recording.

I needed to mount my Blue Snowball Ice to a standard photo tripod- and this did the trick! Easy to install, tightened with a coin. I can now leave it in there and mount my microphone to a standard 1/4 tripod. I love that the other side is 3/8 so if I ever need to put it on a light stand I can just unscrew it, reverse the adapter, and put it back in. Solid little piece of equipment that does the job.

The Blue Snowball mic produces great sound and it is simple to set up. My Adobe Soundbooth program recognized it as soon as I plugged it into the USB port. I really like the three separate sound modes allowing to use the mic in unidirectional or omni directional modes. The instructions are very clear and have great suggestions as to placement of the mic. I would recommend this mic for anybody searching for great audio on a tight budget.

It came packaged very well and the sound quality is top notch! It's better than my blue snowball. I bought it as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend but she overheard me telling her mom about it so I gave it to her early!

The BLUE Snowball is simply amazing. As a video professional, it is an invaluable asset. Not only does the minimal, compact design allow me to bring it virtually anywhere, but the variable settings ensure that I record crystal clear, full-toned sound every time. Not to mention the fact that with it's plug & play software, it can easily move from computer to computer with no problems, recording musical performances to voice-overs with no sweat. And all at a laughably low price that makes it accessible by professionals and consumers alike. The only negative thing about it is the stand, which is a bit flimsy, but due to the Snowball's design, it can be attached to virtually any microphone stand or mount. Simply put, if you value good sound, this is a must.

I made test recordings comparing these microphones to AKG C414 mics and they held up very well. The sound on vocals and acoustic guitar is nice and full, with no coloration. they are quiet and have more gain than the AKG mics, I had to turn the gain down on my mixer.

I bought the Blue Snowball for online V.O. work, and in 3 weeks I've made $1000. 'Nuf said!

I realise this is not what it was designed to do...but I use this screw to mount my Blue Snowball microphone to my GlideGear TMP-50 Teleprompter. The arm that holds the smartphone clips on the teleprompter already has a small threaded portion at the tip, so adding this screw was easy. The shaft is the exact length I needed to go through the arm. It screws perfectly into an Auray adapter. Now my microphone is mounted right in front of me (and out of the shot) and I'm getting much better audio!

... the Blue snowball works great .I use this to record accoustic guitar directly to my computer and am very satisfied !

well It works very well to support my blue snowball microphone. not so many things bad about it all good things its sturdy best weight and even works for some small video recorder's... its an all out great mic stand...
