Blue Microphones Snowball Ice Vs Headset Mic

I needed to mount my Blue Snowball Ice to a standard photo tripod- and this did the trick! Easy to install, tightened with a coin. I can now leave it in there and mount my microphone to a standard 1/4 tripod. I love that the other side is 3/8 so if I ever need to put it on a light stand I can just unscrew it, reverse the adapter, and put it back in. Solid little piece of equipment that does the job.

I use the Blue Snowball ICE for recording vocals and the sound it picks up is great. It's clear without background interference and can be used for cd quality recording.

I am a training specialist who is transitioning from on-site education to virtual, including on-line, real-time interactive classes and Web Based Training. After enduring my company-supplied high-end headset, which presents you on video as a headset-wearing geek with a scratchy voice, I decided to invest in a big-boy microphone. My Scott heritage argued for economy, so I took a chance on the Snowball. Talk about Bang for your Buck! Instead of sounding like a robot from a bad 50's sci-fi, my customers can now enjoy my rich baritone. I am re-recording earlier WBTs to bring up the production value several notches. And I have started using speech recognition software for dictation, something the headset mic just couldn't handle. My Snowball saved the day at a recent class. It was a live class, but one student needed to attend remotely. The instructor couldn't use a headset as she needed mobility across the front of the room. I plugged in the Snowball, and she could be heard loud and crystal clear from any point in the presentation area. The only negative comments I've read complain that the tripod is too small and the 6' USB cord is to short. Hogwash! These included accessories are perfect for 95% of users. The Snowball mounts to a standard tripod screw. Need a sturdier base? Go get one! Need a longer cord? It's standard! Go get one! Bottom Line, if you are looking for solid audio performance at an unbeatable price, this is your mic. Rob Walsh P.S.: When I received my Snowball, my first thought was OMG! I bought the Death Star!. And if you screw in the tripod and turn it sideways, it kinda looks like Sputnik. So, a Must Have for space geeks!

The Blue Snowball mic produces great sound and it is simple to set up. My Adobe Soundbooth program recognized it as soon as I plugged it into the USB port. I really like the three separate sound modes allowing to use the mic in unidirectional or omni directional modes. The instructions are very clear and have great suggestions as to placement of the mic. I would recommend this mic for anybody searching for great audio on a tight budget.

Im using a Blue mic snowball Usb condenser micraphone with this pop filter that I purchased for a great price and it's amazing it's size covers well enuff around the micraphone and catches all large rushes of air Puh Puh power P'z and enhances the quality of your vocals pod casting or chat or recording. The gooseneck is quite flexable but the clip on it is definitly made for verticle use. I have it clipped on my desk and angled in front of the mic. Overall I am very pleased with this Pop Blocker. Thanks B&H good looking out.

I bought this boom arm to use with my Blue Snowball mic and shockmount. The two of these together weigh around 3 or 3.5 pounds and the RODE handles it will. I currently have the arm fully extended and it hasn't changed or slipped into a lower position on its own. I used another brand boom arm prior to this and the arm would slowly creep over a few days from the weight of the Snowball and shockmount. This is a great boom arm to use for podcasting and professional recordings.

The BLUE SNOWBALL usb Mic was everything it was advertised to be and more. For the price I was very very impressed with the quality of this product. The BLUE SNOWBALL FAR EXCEEDS my original expectations and I will order more if the need arises.

I use the Blue Yeti Snowball as an everyday mic for VoIP programs. The instant I started using it I received plenty of positive feedback! The mic is very clear and does a nice job of picking up just my voice over the loud background noise around me (air conditioner and loud cat!).The only thing not so great about it is how bulky it is, but I was well aware of that aspect when purchasing.

This is an amazing product. I'm a huge fan of Blue Products, like the Blue Snowball, which I also ordered from this site last Christmas. I use this mic for voice acting, broadcasts, and other types of skills and activities based off of voices and I have never gotten to many questions as to, What mic do you use? and Where'd you get your mic?. This microphone was worth the price to the tee and the shipping was super fast! I would buy this again and again- overall, an amazing product.
