Blue Microphones The Radius Ii Yeti Shockmount

This is an outstanding boom for my Blue Yeti X microphone and my Blue Radius III Custom Shockmount. It stays in the exact position that I move it to. The only downside is the clamping mechanism could be taller to accommodate a thicker desk.

Just got it and tried it out today. This is a sturdy stable shockmount for the Blue Yeti. It has the same lock hinge mechanism that's advertized in its predecessor (Radius II). I kept wondering why was it cheaper and they don't mention the locking mechanism the way they did on the older version. Suffice to say, it has that locking mechanism. It kept my Blue Yeti stable during recording and it made me hold off on the Blue Compass or Rode PSA1. I thought my economical mic stand would be no good but the stabilty of this shockmount made my mic stand work great. I had a cheaper shock mount that just couldn't hold the mic in place which made the stand wobbly and I had to hold the mic in place to do recordings with it. Don't cringe at the $49.99 price tag. This shockmount is worth every penny and will keep your Blue Yeti in place, the way you want.

For its price, the Blue Yeti far surpasses other microphones in its category. This microphone is easy to use and ready to go, simply plug the USB into your computer and start recording! You will be amazed by the quality of this microphone and its ease of use. I absolutely recommend this microphone for those who are looking for fast and easy quality audio recording. This mic is best used for podcasts, youtube videos, and can even be used for budget friendly music recording!

I bought this for my yeti and boom arm works. It's also made well. I also like how the radius III redesign is much better.

Fits perfectly with Blue Bluebird and way cheaper than the Blue shockmount.

It's the most premium efficient shockmount that I've had the pleasure of using with my Yeti. So glad I finally got this.

I was torn between this AKG Lyra and the Blue Yeti X - after reading a bunch of reviews, they both seemed like great options with roughly comparable features - multiple pickup patterns, on-mic mute buttons, volume & gain dials, etc. The sound samples I heard from the Lyra sounded a little bit more transparent to me than the Yeti X, but I wasn't able to do my own test of this, and I can't say the difference I heard was necessarily enough on its own to guide the decision between these two great mics. I did like the advantage on the Blue Yeti X of the visible level indicator, but in the end, I liked the look of the Lyra better enough to push it over the top for me. I noticed that AKG didn't offer a shockmount for the Lyra, and B+H didn't list any shockmounts in the recommended accessories, so I wondered if the Lyra's mount might actually have a little bit of shock absorption built in. (If it *did*, maybe I could save a little money and not buy a shockmount? I was planning on putting it on a boom arm anyway, and didn't plan on using the table mount.) But alas, that was an unrealistic dream. The Lyra's table stand is, of course, just like any other mic's table stand - it transfers plenty of noise from the hum of my desktop computer, typing on my keyboard, and all those kinds of things. But the Lyra's U-shaped tilting mount doesn't in fact absorb any handling noise, so putting it on a boom arm didn't dampen any of that either. Fortunately, the BLUE RADIUS III shockmount fits the AKG Lyra perfectly and works great, so I'd strongly recommend getting one of those if you're thinking about getting the Lyra. It's a lovely, great sounding mic, so I do highly recommend it (with the shockmount). I'd also recommend that AKG get their act together and make a shockmount of their own for the Lyra!

Integrates well with Blue Boom & Blue Yeti. Well constructed, unobtrusive.
