We love these mics in the Northshore School District. Manyteachers feel comfortable using them to record classroompodcasts, grades K-12. They are easy to use, plug and playwith our Mac computers, and stand the test of heavy use byeager students. Expertise: Instructional Technology Coordinator Problems Encountered: None to date and we've purchased 15+ district wide. Previous Equivalent Item Owned: Logitech Desktop USB Mic 5 |

I am constantly on the run as a videographer for a school district and find these lights to be quick, convenient and efficient. With the help of a third mini-light, I can achieve professional three-point lighting in just about any setting. 5 |

We purchased this item to help our school district when we have outdoor events. It is WONDERFUL! Great sound, easy set up, and no distortion when the mic is used! Will definitely purchase again!! 5 |

We needed to purchase an external hard drive because we were completely over our limit of storage for our school district. When we received the drive, it was just a matter of minutes and we were back in business. Easy to use and lots of storage!! 5 |

First, a little about me: I am a junior in high school. But nonetheless I have the most photography experience than anyone else at my school. I am the district photographer. I also enjoy doing sports photography to sell to parents. I use a Rebel XTi and 20D. I started out with the 18-55 F4-5.6 and Tamron 55-200 F4-5.6 AND MADE MONEY with those lenses! As for many photogs, the 50mm brought me into professional-looking images. After such success with the 50, my next thought was to get a new lens to go with it. The 85 goes hand in hand with it. It's newer, has USM and FTM, and overall an amazing lens. Obviously I'm new to professional-grade telephotos, but the 85 is the best place to start. Its photos come out like the 50's does, and the USM beats the cheap Tamron's AF and the D70's AF I use at work. For a beginning professional with a small budget, it's the way to go. If I can't capture it with my 50 or my 85, I won't want to shoot that sport. The 85 will be my stepping stone into more professional equipment. The 85 is already making me portfolio-worthy images, and I hope to use it for many applications around the district (it works well for kids in the classroom). And I won't worry about doing so, thanks to the replacement warranty B&H offers. I'll definitely want to purchase my future 100 and 135 ;) from here! 5 |

This thing is awesome! Does everything I need it to do. One thing to be aware of - it DOES come with a power supply, even though it's not listed in the What's In The Box list. 5 |

I didn't know what these were for when I bought it, I just bought what was on my class supply list. I think it was a little pricy, but it works great and I do like having different colored sides. 5 |

Filters give us what nature sometimes or cannot supply. The graduated Mauve filter enhances the color of blue skies and gives it a much richer shade of blue. This filter also provides some neutral density so that your clouds are more pronounced. I have used this filter several times now on partly cloudy days to dramatize the blue parts of the sky against the clouds. If you are getting into filters, this one is a good one to have. 5 |

My daughters bought the Hero8 for me (when the 8 was new to the market). I used it to experiment with Live Music Recordings. The sound and pictures recorded were and continue to be AWESOME! I have purchased the 9, 12, and MAX cams. ALL cameras record excellent sound and live video without any of the mods offered. The best mod has been the FLEX mod. These cameras are perfect for live concerts, drum cams, and guitar cams when attached to stocks. I use the chest mount hardware to record live drum shots. Everyone LOVES these shots specifically. But now I'm playing with the MAX, and AGAIN, the MAX records Incredible video and audio. The only problem is the batteries. I've lost 5-6 batteries due to the following problem: When plugged into a power source with the cameras powered on and recording, the older blue-top batteries swell so big that you have to use needle nose pliers to remove the battery, at which time the tops of the batteries separate from the batteries. This is with the 9, 12, and MAX plugged into a power supply (older blue-top batteries must be in the camera) so the camera records a full 2-hour set otherwise the batteries will go dead! I now only use the new enduro batteries and do not use an external power supply to record. All cameras are in GREAT condition, the blue-top battery swelling did NOT affect the functionality of the camera. It only destroyed my blue-top batteries! With the older Hero8, you do NOT need the battery in the camera to record while the camera is plugged into an external power supply! Go figure... Old things, just like many cars are built better. It would be nice for the 9, 12, and MAX to be able to be plugged in to an external power supply withOUT the batteries so recording could go longer than the batteries. 5 |
