Blue Valley School Supply List Sunset Ridge

I just finished spending 3 days on the Blue Ridge Parkway taking photos, including many panoramas, with my new GX35. The only problem is that I didn’t order the ball head the day it hit the streets. It is a fantastic ball head! Holds tight, makes panoramas dead-easy, small size, large well-placed control knobs, and very well built, I couldn’t be more pleased. Tremendous product.

Used it once in fall leaves/waterfalls on Blue Ridge Parkway Oct 2020. It locks camera great and the tripod legs fit around the camera plate which in the design are cut out. Great design and sturdy too. Its pricey but worth it.

Having a lot of fun photographing waterfalls in the Blue Ridge Mountains with this filter. Easy to use especially along with a polarizer.

I shoot in the Blue Ridge, and this filter helps cut glare on the mountainside foliage. My images are rich and true to color.

I'm going to use this for black & white film photography. Either in the studio, or I'm really looking forward to trying it out on a really orange sunset! Maybe I'll get a surreal dark horizon but light sky... This filter is darker than I expected (~4 stops filter factor), so I'm glad I didn't get the deep blue one. The glass isn't even coated. But then again, no one else makes blue filters, so case closed. Other than that, I see no problems with it Looking forward to trying it out when I next go out with my large format camera!

Gives a very nice look to blue hour photography (photos taken shortly after sunset). Solid filter. Nice color

This is an awesome accessory to the Lightsphere. It really warms up the light and is perfect for sunset portraits - instead of throwing a blue light at someone. It costs too much - but it works great!

This thing is awesome! Does everything I need it to do. One thing to be aware of - it DOES come with a power supply, even though it's not listed in the What's In The Box list.

I didn't know what these were for when I bought it, I just bought what was on my class supply list. I think it was a little pricy, but it works great and I do like having different colored sides.

Filters give us what nature sometimes or cannot supply. The graduated Mauve filter enhances the color of blue skies and gives it a much richer shade of blue. This filter also provides some neutral density so that your clouds are more pronounced. I have used this filter several times now on partly cloudy days to dramatize the blue parts of the sky against the clouds. If you are getting into filters, this one is a good one to have.
