I got this today and it works great with my cell phone, it even came with a 3.5mm to 3.5 mm cable for cellular use...I was surprised..also do yourself a favor..install the gain jumpers as stated in the directions..it will give you more audio on a noisy day. HTH

Wonderfully crafted. Remarkably packed (for the price). This mount is perfect for the goals it is supposed to achieve. Holds smartphones up to 7.5 cm width. Makes your phone mountable to any "conventional" photo/video tripod/stativ/monopod. Note: The mount incorporates two springs inside. With both springs intact (immediately from the box) it is gonna be "hard on your phone". Hint: Unscrew the two screws, remove one of the two springs and keep it in a safe place as a "spare" for future use. When the one spring left working gets "soft" - replace it with that "spare". Note 2: The heads of the metal screws are normally below the level of the plastic, so the possibility of scratching your phone with those screws is next to none.

Strong springs hold phone securely. Three screw mounts -- on each end and on face -- ensure that you can mount the phone in any orientation.

Nicely machined smartphone mount - dual springs keep it open for easy adjustments to set phone into cradle - good non-marring padding - wide area to accept phone with a case, and shape of contact area keeps it stable.

First impression was that this mini tripod was very well engineered, my ONLY caveat is that the springs to hols ones phone in Landscape are very powerful, so it takes some effort to place the larger, wider phones in the platform, My Mirror-less camera with 70 mm macro lens was stable and the ball head held it at the angle I needed. Super value portable tripod is highly recommended.

I had some serious issues getting this working and turns out it’s best if you turn off your cellular service on your phone while doing the setup. Worked like a charm for me on multiple devices. A new update also improved integration with Apple HomeKit. Very happy with it now.

I have a cellular phone based app that I use for my intercom. So I use these so my camera ops in the field can clamp them to the camera tripods and put the phone right in front of them. They work awesome. Highly recommend and will be buying more.

This thing never needs charging with the solar panel, and gets great cellular reception where our phone barely get any. Highly recommended this device

This microphone has great audio as long as the phone is in airplane mode. If it is not, any communication over the cellular antennas causes the ticking and distortion other reviewers have mentioned. When in airplane mode though, the audio is clean. I prefer to shoot video in airplane mode anyway so my recordings are not bothered by text messages or phone calls. So, this is no big deal for me. I love the mic and the build quality.
